Why you think you were chosen/not chosen for the match: A variety of reasons, I suppose. I think that in the end, I will be at the place that I should be and where I fit best. RD may even work out. Who knows?

General Comments: Congrats to all who made it via NCM! And to those who didn’t, don’t worry! There is always RD :disappointed_relieved:

Wow you guys are amazing. discolored what a story. You will all have some great choices come RD but please don’t just apply to the uber reaches, put some less selective partners in there–they are all good.

@ilovethecity thank you so much! As nice as it would have been to match, I still have faith in RD :)

Thanks @BrownParent‌ and @ilovethecity‌ ! And I agree, while I would have loved to have matched, there is still RD. Also I’ve been accepted to both of my safeties with enough money to cover so I’m fine (and I would be 100000% happy attending them if I got into no other school)

Reflection
Strengths: Variety and strong ECs, creativity in essays, many awards (not “major” so I didn’t include them here)
Weaknesses: Turned in some documents late, some essays are first drafts
Why you think you were chosen for the match: I can never be sure, but my ECs and how I wrote about them were pretty strong, I liked my Why Columbia, and I’m proud of all my essays
[/list]
General Comments:
I did not expect to be matched with Columbia. The odds in my mind seemed to be stacked against me and all the other QB Finalists in the College Match program. Look at the results: 501 matched students out of over 11,654 QB applicants. 4.3%?? That’s a lower acceptance rate than any of the partner colleges. But, after seeing my result, I’m overjoyed that Columbia saw in my application how hard I worked in school and how badly I wanted to be a part of the Columbia Blue. I’m comfortable in saying I’m a great student, and Columbia’s match just makes me even more confident to finish off strong this year and start college with a bang. Congrats to all other matched students, and good luck to all RD applicants!

@Qdawg2015‌ I have very similar stats like yours (in terms of scores and numbers). I too was not matched. Dang, I really thought I had a chance, but whatever. Looking forward to applying to RD!!! :)

I want to post my stats too but I’m still sad right now. Anyways my stats are in my profile thingy if anyone wants to see them.

@BrownParent thank you! I placed most of the super reach schools as match because hey, what if? I’m applying RD to most of the partner schools that are more in my range. Good luck to @npswimmer44 and @emenya in RD as well!
