There has already been one wave of transfer applications for Smith, but the next application deadline is May 15th. If anyone from the previous wave wants to pop in and talk about their experience or other transfers who applied for the second deadline want to come commiserate with the wait, I'd be interested in hearing from all of you! I've got my fingers crossed so tightly! I can't imagine going anywhere other then Smith right now.

Seconded! I’m a second wave transfer applicant as well, and I’m getting sort of anxious. I’d be really grateful if any of the students who have already gone through the process could share their experiences.

I have also applied. I don’t know if you guys read the Smith transfer blog but it has been pretty helpful. Also, how many evaluations do we need? …I thought we only have to send in one.
I only applied to three schools and have been accepted to one already, my top choice. I am ready to commit to that school but it doesn’t guarantee housing and Smith does. So I am anxious to hear from Smith as well.

I committed to Smith ! I did an interview and it went very well. I just received my registration packet and i’m filling it out now !! I wish all of you the best of luck ! The suspense really irked me too I visited two weeks ago and it was very beautiful and I immediately clicked with the school. Hope to see you all there on orientation day ! Message me if you have any questions :)

I am getting really nervous too. It turns out that there was an issue with one of my letters of recommendation and they only received it today. They said that it wouldn’t impact their decision but I can’t help but worry that that means they are thinking no already! These last few days will be horrible.

I applied and now I am just awaiting for a letter. I think I’ll know by June 5th. I think I have a decent chance. My grades in HS were perfect(4.0) and my grades in college decent(3.36). I also had a few ECs in HS I was very dedicated to and a part time job in college. My college is very much a commuter college so low participation in clubs. Most people go home right after class.

It was very recently that I fell in love with Smith and I applied late. I hope I get in with good aid because without it I can not go at all.

Did you receive an email yesterday informing you of how to check online for your admission status on the 2nd instead of waiting for a letter?

No, I didn’t…should I be concerned?

I wouldn’t be worried. You could check the banner web to see if they received all of your admissions packet but it’s probably nothing but an email glitch. The email itself was really simple. It just said that the news will be mailed out on the 2nd and that it will be available at 6 pm est on banner web under the same link as you can see what forms they’ve received. Fin aid should be up then too.

The wait is pretty excoriating… T.T

I wonder if anyone else is obsessively checking Bannerweb on the off chance that it updates early? Haha.

Do you all have back up plans if the worst happen? I’m trying to focus on what I would do if I didn’t get in instead of what I would do if I did get in just in case.

If I don’t get in it will most likely be off to Russel Sage or Agnes Scott.

So, if I’m not a smithie tomarrow I could end up being a Scottie…

Results are up now. I unfortunately was not accepted but good luck to the rest of you!

I can’t see mine yet, I’ll check again a little later.

I wasn’t accepted. I’ll try again next year.

I got in! Sincerest apologies to everyone who wasn’t as fortunate – admissions is a crapshoot and I know how frustrating it can be. I’m sure you’re all brilliant, and you’ll do an amazing job wherever you go.

I was denied! Thought it was a little rude they didn’t change their prompt for transfer students “potential success in college” LOL girl I’m already in college hair swoop… stings a little but oh well! Good luck to all of you
