2014 AP score RESULTS thread

Bio - 3
Euro - 3
Gov - 3
Lang - 5

Kind of sad, but I didn’t expect to do that well on bio or Euro. Gov I didn’t really know what to think, and lang I expected a 5.

AB subscore doesn’t count. It’s the second bullet from the bottom here: <a href=“AP Scholar Awards – AP Central | College Board”>http://professionals.collegeboard.com/k-12/awards/ap-scholar

You’ll get scholar with distinction

@Patton370 My handwriting was terrible (the teacher said it’s some of the worst he’s ever seen) on US History and I got a 5, so no.

how can you become an AP scholar?

NATIONAL AP SCHOLAR where my county only allows 1 AP before junior year

Calc AB: 5
Comp Sci A: 4
English Lang: 4
Macro: 5
Micro: 4
Physics Mech: 5
Stats: 5

Last year

US Gov: 4

Hoped for a 5 in Micro but oh well, pulled a 4 in Lang and a 5 in Physics so happy!

Nevermind I just looked it up

Is there a way to change proxy on your phone?

1st AP:

US Gov: 5

LES GOOOOOOO

@Patton370 and everybody else about the handwriting stuff, I don’t know for sure but my teacher kept telling us that if the graders couldn’t read what we wrote, we’d get poor scores. So…maybe??? Perhaps the grader thought you misspelled things when you didn’t? But maybe our teacher just wanted to rule out that possibility for us, so she scared us into neat handwriting. :)

Ok so I’m really disappointed right now - I got a 4 on on my stats test. I was really aiming for a 5 but oh well. My question is, do selective colleges look at anything but a 5 in a negative way, if you get what I mean. Will it look bad on my application and could it affect my getting accepted?

You guysss how do u proxyyy?

@mzr1998 Colleges will not look negatively at a 4. It will in no way impact your application.

@skieurope‌ Really? Well if that’s the case, awesome! I was under the impression that among a pool of applicants with all 5s, I would probably be at a disadvantage.

@mzr1998 calm down! my sister had two fours out of 7 tests and still got into MIT and was waitlisted at Harvard

<help!!!>
I’ll be going to college this fall and during senior year I took mostly concurrent enrollment classes and two AP classes. I got a 5 on APSpanish and a…wait for it…a 1 on Pysch!! I’m pretty bummed because I thought I’d get at least a 3!</help!!!>

Our teacher left the first week of school and we had a sub for all of first semester and we literally didn’t do ANYTHING. We finally got a teacher second semester and we rushed through the content. I did very well in that class and got an A! On a mock AP test, I got a 3. Going in to take the test I didn’t expect a 5 but I definitely didn’t expect a 1!! Our proctor said he’d give us warnings and didn’t so I didn’t answer around 20 questions, and I thought I did OK on the FRQ’s.

Should I request for my test to be restored? I don’t know if I should. I’ll be pretty bummed if I do and I get a 1 again. I’m a good student, I passed my college classes with A’s and B’s and I’ll be going into college with 15 concurrent enrollment college credits. It’s just crazy that I got a 1 on the psych test, I’m usually a good test taker.

The amount of people who just blindly take an AP test and don’t know what the general score is for passing (3!) is a little worrisome

@Marrissa‌
You cannot (that I know of) run a proxy off of a mobile phone. You may be able to run a VPN or Tunnelbear, but it’s very clunky.
I just got a proxy working on a firefox browser on my Mac, and can look for you if you PM me.

@mzr1998‌

Colleges don’t really use AP scores for admissions. Unless there’s a major discrepancy between class grades and AP scores (and no, a 4 is not a discrepancy), it only determines how much credit the college will give you.

I got a 5 for APUSH! (1st AP) I totally expected a 3, so I was ecstatic.

How do I change the proxy on my phone? Anyone?
