Daughter got her acceptance to Middlebury this am. She (and her Mom and Dad) are very excited.

Thanks very much to all on this site who give such great advice on the athletic recruiting process, especially at NESCAC/academically competitive D3 schools. We found the advice from the experienced posters to be dead on – cast a wide net, stay in touch even if you don’t hear from a coach for a while, some coaches may seem less interested at first and then become very interested (and vice versa), make sure you get clarity about pre-read status, etc.

Congrats Johnboston. What sport??

Congratulations racon45. I must say, I was wondering. This is great news. May I ask were you able to get that ACT score up to (30?) or did it turn out to be unnecessary?

Racon45, congrats on a great achievement! One of the HP women’s hockey coaches is one of our very good friends and I’m sorry he lost you as a recruit, but I’m sure we’ll be able to recognize you when we go to games vs. Y and we will get a chance to see you on the ice and wish you well. :)
