2014 Elks Mvs Scholarship

Any other elks applicants? I created this forum so I could find out when other applicants had been notified of whether they advanced to the new levels

My son applied.

Jcsmom, okay when you and your son find out if he advanced or not plz reply back something on this thread. Thanks!

I applied as well.

I applied as well. Though when I took my application by the lodge, they asked me a lot of questions about the scholarship and acted as if they knew nothing about the scholarship. So I’m worried that it won’t get mailed on time or sent in appropriately but I’m going to call and check on it.

Yeah, it didn’t seem like many people apply for the scholarship (at least at my lodge)

I’m pretty hopeful that I can get something! If I don’t get anything, at least I did meet a couple of nice people at the lodge.

I applied too. I live in the most populous county in my state and there will probably be a lot of competition, so I’m not too optimistic.

I turned in my application today!

Although, when we were driving back (TWO HOUR DRIVE!), I realized that my dad didn’t sign the first sheet (my mom and I did).

-HEART ATTACK-

What do y’all think I should do? I called, but they are closed for the night. I’m basically having a mini panic attack.

I applied today! Had to drive an hour to get to the closest Elk’s Lodge. When I called yesterday, they didn’t seem to know all that much about the scholarship at my lodge either. The lady said she had received another application and didn’t really know what to do with it (actually, she tried telling me to mail it to Chicago, which as you guys know would’ve gotten me disqualified), but when I spoke with her today when turning mine in, she seemed more confident and said it’ll probably be a few weeks til I hear anything back.

Wow, I’m glad there was one in my town.

The drive wasn’t too bad. I’m just hoping that maybe them not knowing much about the scholarship meant that not many people applied and it might be easier to advance.

My daughter just completed her application and will drop it off tomorrow. She spent a lot of time on it so I hope she at least gets some local scholarship.

Tryingherbest, What’s her ACT score and gpa

My son applied too and he submitted the application two month ago.

My local lodge was only 5 minutes away…2 hours is ridiculous

My daughter applied and we dropped it off on Thursday. Luckily, our post was 2 miles away!

Tennis contact them I’m pretty sure his signature is required. I would reprint that form and have all 3 of you sign it and FedEx it to the lodge asking them to replace that page please.

Daughter applied. She was the 7th application at the nearest lodge but we are in a large city. Her due date was today per the lodge. They were very nice. Very generous scholarships. She spent a long time on her application though.

When anyone hears back from their local lodge, post something

I emailed the VP of the scholarship from my state, and she said it was okay that I didn’t have his signature xD
