Wow, this is really starting today then, huh? I can’t believe it.

Site is still down for me as well… If they are really sending acceptances based on the TAU date, I don’t know if I’ll be getting my decision today.

@Cidzor they are gioing by TAU? Ugh i submited mine the first week of jan but than updated it before the deadline…so if thats true…that suck lol

If they’re doing it TAU, I better get in because I submitted it in the first day, haha. Though I don’t have the complete requirements so that’s a bit on the con side for me.

@sonic23

That is EXACTLY what I did! Haha

Ok I’m giving up for now. I’ll check back later tonight. I don’t think there’s any solid reason to assume they’re going by TAU but just to be sure, if you get accepted please include your TAU submission date.

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected (strengths/weaknesses):

Let me just start of by saying that this is one of the best feelings in the world. I had a some bad experiences in high school (family and school-wise), and ended up graduating with a 2.7 GPA. I came into community college with goals in mind, and just kicked butt the whole time. I applied to transfer to USC as a sophomore transfer, but got rejected. That was my first time ever applying to college, so getting that rejection letter stung a bit, but now I’m here.

I believe that I was accepted for several reasons. First, I personally think that my GPA is strong, stemming from challenging classes that I took at my community college. Also, my essays were very strong. I started working on them as soon as the application became available, and worked on them until the day I submitted (november 29th). I think I had a pretty solid application overall.

Here’s a link to my twitter where I posted a picture of my acceptance

Haha congrats @telkayam! That was actually my alternative major… The portal is still down for me

@telkayam - Congratualations! It’s awesome to know that now matter how you do in high school if you apply yourself in college you can get places and it’s never too late.

Do you mind if I ask how you got on the UCSD my app??

Are you guys getting emails notifying you that your application status has changed and that you should check your UCSD portal?

@matt4200 First off, thank you! It feels great, and yes, community college is a great opportunity to redeem yourself.

Pertaining to your question about the myapp, I have no idea. Right now when I log in nothing shows up, but I logged on about an hour ago and thats what came up.

@Cayton No emails. You just have to check the portal.
