Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected (strengths/weaknesses): TAG definitely would be a factor. My personal statements were blah, the 1st one i thought was good, the second was below decent.

But let me tell you i’ve changed my major four times, from accounting to finance to buisness admin to econ and then finally comp sci. I’ve been at community college for 7 years…yes, 7 years, from 2007 till now. Part in due to helping family get out of debt, overcome depression, and manage work and school, had to drop alot of classes (6 W’s 2 of them being the first semester of Physics) and the change in majors made me take extra courses for nothing… i was indecisive on what to do. So yes, its been a long long road. From almost droppping out of high school and not graduating to even think about applying to UC’s… is surreal.

For TAG UCSD guarantees only admission into the college and not your major. How likely is it that you will get in UCSD, but not get in your major as a TAG applicant? I had a gpa of 3.81 and a major gpa of 4.0 when I applied for EE.

My UCSD grant was 20K … is this normal?

@jytransfer nope! are you getting a cal grant in aaddition? whats your gpa/story?

only cal grant through dream act but on my financial aid info though it said UCSD GRANT: $20k

edit: i do have a 4.0 GPA and had to work 2-3 jobs simultaneously could this be why?

possibly haha, enjoy the free ride if you decide to go here!
