Hi everyone!
I have been looking for some information on the internet about applying to MIT, and have already registered in MyMIT webpage. However, I CAN'T see any 'Part 1', 'Essays'... links on my MyMIT dashboard. I'm going to apply for 2014, and I'm currently in 4ºESO in Spain (Equivalent to 10th Grade (15-16years old). Having a look on this forum I came across some posts which talked about 2014 Class Decisions... Have these people already applied to MIT for 2014?? Am I by now without any chance? I'm really afraid guys.
P.S. In How To Apply To MIT | MIT Admissions , in the 'When to Apply' section, they say that most students apply when they have finished all their available studies before university. Well, I still have two more courses until I 'should' apply. What should I do?? Thanks!

No worries – “class of 2014” is the current sophomore class at MIT, consisting of the students who will graduate from MIT in 2014.

American students typically apply to college during their final year in high school, so you would apply in the fall of 2013 for the class of 2018.

The application for next year hasn’t been released yet, which is why you can’t see it in MyMIT. The application typically comes out in late August or early September.

@molliebatmit many thanks. Now I am much more relaxed. If I want to apply then for 2014, am I applying for 2019 Class? Thanks!

Yes, if you’re applying in the fall of 2014, you would start college in the fall of 2015 and graduate in 2019.

So then I lose one year? US Studies system is so different to the Spanish one… If i finish High School before summer of 2014, I would enter university on 2014 or 2015?? Thanks!

-Edit-
I’ve read again your answer. I have to apply then during my last year in High School i.e. Fall of 2013. Many thanks @molliebatmit!

The one trick with international admissions is to look carefully at the SAT. Unlike students in the US, registering for the SAT is not necessarily trivial. SAT test centres in my country fill up sometimes months in advance. If you are applying in the fall of 2013, you may want to look at getting your SAT tests out of the way in the Spring of 2013 (or possibly earlier).
