<p>How would I find out the semifinalists for Wisconsin as our newspapers do not list this information.</p>

<p>kjcphmom, write to <a href="mailto:aanderson@madison.com">aanderson@madison.com</a>. I e-mailed her a couple times already to try to get her to attach it to the online version of annual Cap Times article about Dane Cty and area NMSF like they used to. They stopped last year and again this year it isn’t there. The article was published with her name this year. She promised to look into it, but hasn’t yet. If she heard from more people she might be more inclined to actually do something about it.</p>

<p>Congratulations to your daughter, as well, @NaperMom. I really wish there was a media clearinghouse for National Merit Scholarship Corporation to use to distribute the lists. Publishing of the lists seems like one more way draw out the process a little longer unnecessarily.</p>

<p>Can anyone explain what the 3 digit number is in front of each student’s name… Some have a 999 in front of their name but other have random 3 digit number.</p>

<p>@billcsho – Pure laziness on my part. I did not intend to link to old Michigan data. I was just repeating/synthesizing links from the other thread.</p>

<p>I agree with others there really should be a central database of all these results. If NMSC won’t do it, there really should be some smart way for us to automate a data-scraping process.</p>

<p>what do the numbers by the students name mean? My son has a 459 next to his name and another student from the same school has a 999</p>
