2014 NJIT honors interview

I received an email today stated "Thank you for your application to the Albert Dorman Honors College at NJIT. I am happy to inform you that you have been selected for an Honors interview to be held here at NJIT or by phone."
However, I have not heard anything about getting accepted into the school yet, is it safe to assume I have been accepted into the college and now they are just determining if I am a candidate for Honors program?

Also, since I will be doing my interview by phone, any comments on the what questions they might ask me? I have not visited the school yet. I am hoping to be accepted into the computer engineering program. I haven't done any research or participated in any robotics programs, are most accepted students to the honors program have this type of experience on their resume?

bump…anyone?

Congratulations! Its fairly early, since interviews are usually done early for the accelerated programs…you can be sure that you are indeed a serious candidate. You can send a reply thanking them and that you are looking forward to the interview. I know that my D was given an option of on campus as well as over the telephone and she chose the over the telephone interview and it was all of 20 minutes and she was accepted to the Honors program ( btw confirmed by the interviewer). So at this point I would say relax and you will be fine. The interview btw is rather an informal oneconfirming all credentials and basically to talk to you and get a feel of your personality and interests. Good Luck!
