Wow…so maybe you should get both and then depending on your mood on BDD (LOL fierce or sweet?) you can pick one!
Never thought Rocker would talk about animal prints! Lolol
Personally, zebra is in a pretty close tie with leopard (omggg snow leopard prints, in cardigans…yes please!) ;D

We had a Stanford last year! He got into Princeton too, but he was really into afternoon naps, so it was sunny Cali for him :] One year we got 4 Yales, too! And we usually get 1-2 Yales every year, but usually it’s because most kids around here have connections.

Nice. Simple. Elegant. You can wear it to class without your teacher thinking you’re horribly hungover…which is always awkward. I think I’ve made my decision.

Yes, a nice message to send out to the world.

I strongly dislike my glasses, which is why I never wear them. I wear contacts instead. But my last pair perished in a tragic lab incident about two months ago and I haven’t had the will to buy new ones. So I’ve been enjoying the pleasant, soothing fuzziness of the world when it’s out of focus.

Glasses aren’t covered by our public healthcare. They aaare really expensive. I think they screw you over because they’re like “yes, the lenses will cost $120” and you’re all like “oh, that isn’t too bad” and then they’re like “soooo, with the frames, it’s $450” and then you’re like DAYUM.

Sad story - Last week my eyes just would not chill with my contacts. So I wore my thick rimmed glasses (lolz they’re by Baby Phat) when I went out to play tennis. Now I have a tan line from them! Right across the bridge of my nose. ■■■…but I found that brown eyeshadow covered up the line pretty well for my interview. I still have the line though! Embarassinggg >.<

Haha no lie, I actually have a friend who has shoes similar to those! Except they’re iridescent and blue; they shimmer like fish! But she has a really eclectic style so it works out, you know what I mean?

I can’t believe I almost missed this conversation about headbands and animal prints.

Agreed. I love zebra print. In fact, I want my dorm room to be like that. I want zebra print sheets and then colored pillows (still deciding on the color…hahahh). But I already have a zebra print headband so now I want a leopard print one. I have yet to get an animal print cardigan. BUT YES I want a snow leopard print one tooooo.

Real cute rocker. Real cute.
But honestly, I would totally wear those 2.
I don’t dress funky or anything but I like to have some stand out pieces once in a while. They’re just fun to have.

DUDE yall’s schools are amazing. We had like 2 accepted to Cornell and I think that ends the list of our Ivy+Stanford admits. hahahah. It was pretty brutal this year. But we usually don’t have that many accepted to Ivies. Especially since only a few apply. I doubt more than 12 people apply to an Ivy each year. And a lot of them think scores are everything…so as long as they get high scores, they apply. =] hmmmm.

they only ivy that people regularly get accepted to in my school is Cornell. but that’s probably because it’s pretty close by and a number of people from my school have gone there before so they know my school i guess. my one friend got into Harvard for track and this one kid who was like a genius got rejected from Yale and ended up going to Georgetown. he either picked it over Princeton (have no idea why) or he was rejected to P. if so his essays must have been lacking because he DEF had the grades.

This year was brutal, but we had a lot of people get into Cornell this year! About 6 if I’m remembering correctly…But we always always have the fewest amount of people going to Yale. Always. It’s strange…

my school (~100 kids/grade) has had 2 yales matriculations each year for the past four years. maybe more, but i lost track–going backwards–at the class of '06. i know one kid is pretty much set for yale in my grade (genius legacy URM) so hopefully i can be the second!

haha we called it stanford slaughter too! Dunno if we picked it off CC and just forgot, but it was a bummer to the guys anyway, I think one of them loved stanford like we love Yale. which I can’t imagine. I actually visited stanford, it’s close and its great but I can’t see myself fitting in there really. It’s weird. Maybe I have myself to convinced that Yale architecture is the model of my home and california stucco just loses appeal.

class of 09 was brilliant for us, my school’s pretty average. But we got 2 into harvard and 1 into princeton, 1 into georgetown, and then one into berkeley. They don’t have the same expectations of our class x.x

Nobody from my school has ever gone to an Ivy, I hope to be the first One girl last year went to UMich but that’s the first US college we’ve had. The school tends to have about 3 or 4 Oxbridgers though.

Just finished a rough draft of my Why Yale essay and it is exactly 500 characters.
It’s not bad, but it doesn’t really have that huge sense of passion and enthusiasm in it that I want it to express… =/
