Preliminary verification is due by March 15th. You might want to double-check with the transfer center to make sure you don’t miss the deadline.

@knhofto (and everyone else who replied to me, thank you) yeah on my CSU Mentor application back in October I said I was receiving the AA-T degree, as well as on my supplemental application. I did everything before the deadline so I’m fine with that. I actually spoke with my counselor today and he said SDSU will already know my degree is verified without me sending the official verification from my school will e-mail me. Instead, the document is just confirmation that I’m receiving the degree, and he said marking that I’m getting the degree on the supplemental application was all I needed to do.

And he said if my college hasn’t sent me an e-mail by March 14, something is wrong. So I didn’t miss anything, yay! Also he said that transfers will know decisions around March 17 and after that. I was confused because I thought SDSU wasn’t even going to open my application until they receive AA-T verification, but my counselor said they will make admission decisions for transfers who claim to earn the degree by this spring regardless if they have our final verification… Any thoughts?

well the open house is on march 15th, how do you figure that admission decisions will be march 17th and after? called today, said we will find out this week according to the head of admissions they have been delayed because of an outstanding number of applicants this year.

Major -English
Location -SD Local Area
GPA -2.63

I hate my GPA. I had a bad semester a few years ago that brought it down and its been hard bringing it up. I am over the GPA requirement for my major. I have all but one of the major prep classes done. I am taking my final major prep class this semester. All Golden 4 done except math which I am also completing this semester.

The AA-T degree for English was not approved at the time of my application so the counselors told me I could not get in with that. They said I had a shot at the TAG agreement though.

@joogman23 honestly I thought the same thing. I’d like to go to open house knowing I’m already admitted, not feeling like I might be there for no reason. But that’s what my counselor told me. High school seniors are already being notified but most transfers will find out mid/late-march. I know last year some transfers didn’t find out until APRIL! What!! But yeah, there’s a ton of applicants this year as well so you never know what the new situation will be…

Yeah I saw in last year’s thread that some majors including the one I applied for (health communication) didn’t hear until April. That is insane. I may go crazy by then.

Still waiting for a response

@christinedoz I only know one other person in my classes who applied for health comm. I know two others who applied regular comm. What about you?

@Raven12am “Notices of admission decisions will be sent in early March.” They have this on Webportal, so I’m going to assume most people will receive admissions this or next week.

I am freaking out waiting for this decision!
So can you guys give me some feedback if I have a solid chance?

I also will have my AA-T in History after this spring semester

With the aa-t, from what my transfer advisor said, you have an excellent shot. With about 95% of transfers coming from ccc, the aa-t put you at priority or above all the other candidates… So you should have very good odds.
