The school can take a few days to process application. After it is processed, it will show complete on your MyPage

Prior to the deadline, do I still have the option to revise and resubmit my essays, even though they are already submitted and sent?
If yes, will my revision overwrite the previous essay or will admissions officers receive both versions?

Gnomon: once they are submitted you cannot go back and edit them unfortunately.

Korsgaard I looked over your essay. I responded twice because I didn’t see whether my messages sent. My apologies for that.

@DeeGeeErbear: Thanks.

ApplyTexas lets me edit the text of the essays and review the format. If I tried to submit, would it just give me an error message?

Thank you for your help Dee!

Gnomon: it might send but even if it did UT would disregard it. They wouldn’t be able to handle it if everyone was able to resend essays with grammar corrections. That’s why once you submit it’s done.

gnomon: i revised my statement of purpose and mailed it in after submitting the statement of purpose thru the application; admissions officer told me they take the most recent items sent in so… ya go for it but since you will have to mail it, it might not get there on time.

@DeeGeeErbear: Okay, that makes sense. So much for last minute nitpicks. :)

Do you happen to know how competitive Mathematics (College of Natural Science) admissions are for transfer students? I think I have a decent shot, but I haven’t read much about the pool of applicants.

@baylorgal123: Interesting. Did they mention whether anyone even looks at the older documents or are they deleted/tossed out?

gnomon: yes i asked and they said it is not deleted or tossed out, just plainly disregarded

Good luck to everyone! :)

I just noticed this on the myStatus page:

“Items received through October 7, 2013 (uploaded documents and online forms, for example) will be considered on time.”

Does anybody know how long the decision process will take?!

Wombar: Thanks for posting that! I called earlier and they told me I was sooo relieved!
Good luck to you llama and everyone else as well!!

This is so exciting! SO glad the application process is over. Break a leg, everybody! You’re all stars!

Be expecting decisions in the next two or three weeks, 30+ hours applicants! Good luck and Hook’em!!! Ask me any questions :)

Gnomon: for mathematics CNS, I would guess a student with a minimal 3.5 GPA and All A’s in math courses would have a decent shot along with a well rounded resume and 3 letters of rec/ outstanding essays.

Hello, can I get “chanced” please?
I’m applying from the University of Houston(honors college) to BA Psychology
GPA: At my current Uni, 3.74, BUT cumulative (from current and previous):3.52…
Two pretty good essays
1 year experience at a psych lab, and a strong letter from the lab director, and had a research fellowship over the summer.
National hispanic scholar/AP scholar with distinction (I don’t know if that stuff helps)
very little extracurriculars

Thanks!!

So it’s been 4 days since I did my school’s online transcript thing and chose to send it to UT. Been about 2 days since it said they completed the sending. How long should I wait to call UT and ask them about it if it doesn’t show up on my application?
