2014 Spring Transfer Thread

About to submit!!!

kingaion: I have the same situation. They told me that I had to keep the order receipt. If the transcript did not come on time, I could make an appeal. (My transcript was sent on September 25)

On September 30, I asked my college admission. They tried to resend it.

Today UT admission shows that they received. However, it shows that the transcript was sent on September 30 (the day my college admission resent)

But, with their note: “Items received through October 7, 2013 (uploaded documents and online forms, for example) will be considered on time.” I think if your school successfully sent your transcript. You will be fine. It takes a few days to process

I submitted. I haven’t gotten my ID. How am I supposed to give my transfer resume then? :(

They will send you an email with your EID. Hope it comes to you now. :expressionless: it’s 11:09

October 1! Good luck everybody, I hope to see y’all in spring :D

Good luck everyone.

Now we all play the waiting game.

I didn’t get the EID email. Only the applytexas one :(

Anyways good luck to every1!

goodluck everyone!

Anyone know what they’re gonna do housing wise?

Good question LOL

To set up your EID, you have to do that yourself from the Become a Longhorn site, they don’t email you to do it. You have to check your MyStatus with your EID, that’s where you find out whether you’re accepted or not.

DeeGeeErbear I already had an EID and after submitting with ApplyTexas it emailed me a second account. I had to merge them.

Yes. I received their email. I also created EID before they sent. I did not have to merge because they sent the same EID.

If you create account before they send, there is nothing in your MyStatus.
My experience.

So I cannot get transcripts until December 20th because that’s when transcripts are done. I can send my transcripts via mail from UT Dallas and HCCS, but I’m afraid that the campus might be closed and I’ll have to wait longer for a decision? Does UT Admissions stop during the holidays?

I basically have 3 weeks to send transcripts, get accepted, get dorm housing, move from Dallas to Austin, and pick classes. I’m terrified of not having enough time. How long does it usually take to get an answer for students that send transcripts toward the end of the semester? Is admission harder if you have to wait for the semester to end to finish the 30 hours minimum?

Sekrim, you will hear something probably two weeks after your last transcript is sent in. For Fall admission, I waited a good three weeks. I think for y’all it will be 2-3 and will cut close with Spring semester. Be prepared unless you hear a denial quickly, which UT tries to do. Bad news travels fast!

Good luck everyone! Hope we all get in. :)

So building upon the conversation above, we’re not in any immediate threat by UT not having our transcripts? As long as we have all the rest of the application submitted, we should be fine right?

Just gonna ask something that has been bothering me.

I went to a specialized art school that focused mostly on studio classes, so I don’t have a lot of “core” classes (no math, no science). I have 63 hours total, but what does UT mean by you must have at least 30 hours of TRANSFERABLE credit? Does it just mean you must have at least 30 hours or do 30 hours need to be able to transfer?

I’m worried I won’t meet the 30 hours considering I took mostly studio classes. But they were different types of studio classes, like graphic design, drawing, typographic design, advertising, etc. Those would still transfer over, right? I’m applying UGS.

larissas, you need to go to the ATE system and see if all your classes from the specialized art school are found at UT, if so, then you’re good. go through every class you took at the art school and type in the course name and see if that is a course offered at UT, if so make sure there the courses make up at least 30 hours.
