@vvnstar ~ your end tag was wrong… a curly bracket.
Thanks @lojosmo! I appreciate you straightening it out for me
@KatMT I am not familiar with some of the shows, are any of those fall shows musicals?Would love to see a musical along with our visit? Also is there a way to access past show lists? Actually that question goes for any school?
@Joyfulmama ~ some schools list past performance right on their websites…
@joyfulmama - In the fall First Lady Suite and Dogfight are musicals… . at JMU go to – http://www.jmu.edu/theatredance/about/production-history.shtml
Just noticed that the Fall musical, Gone Missing from last year is not listed as a Masterpiece Season event, even though it was… We do a fall “mainstage/ masterpiece” musical in the studio theatre or concert hall in the fall, and a “mainstage/ masterpiece” musical on the mainstage in the spring.
Great thank you @KatMT & @lojosmo . I will check out the link and look more closely at the school sites.
Newsflash: Montclair is doing The Producers (renting the costumes and sets from the National Tour) next spring instead of West Side Story. Sounds like the rights to WSS were pulled from Montclair when Papermill decided to do it.
My S told me that Montclair was doing The Producers instead of WSS. What surprised me even more was that Montclair is having the rights to do The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas which is targeted to open a revival on Broadway THIS fall. I believe that generally there is a 50 mile radius around New York that usually aren’t given licensing agreements to do a show when that show is running on Broadway.
@Calliene Rider MT used those costumes a few years ago and they were beautiful. That is such a fun show!
Yes, great show, of course @MTTwinsinCA, but very boy-heavy. sigh
As far as I know, this is the list of Hartt School Mainstage productions for 2015/16:
Small Town Story (Musical)
Nicholas Nickleby (Play - 6 hour abridged version - yowza)
Robber Bridegroom (Musical)
Metamorphosis (Play)
Titanic (Musical)
Arcadia (Play)
Reefer Madness (Musical)
Much Ado about Nothing (Play)
Pretty “off the beaten path” selections.
Theatre TCU’s 2015-2016 Season
A Day in Hollywood/A Night in Ukraine
A Lovely Sunday in Creve Couer
Everyman

Women of Lockerbie
Sexual Perversity in Chicago
The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas
I don’t know how to add to the list.
