2015 AAs Where Are You Applying?

^ Hey, fellow Nigerian!

Hey wahkimoocow,
I’ve grown up in Asia. My dad moved to China in the 80’s.
I really like the region and have been studying its history and culture for a while now and its something I’d like to continue.

Hey fellow AAs

I’m doing Dartmouth ED (woot)
anyone else?

Intended Major: International Relations/Political Science

Early decision: Amherst College

Regular decision:
Bowdoin College
Wesleyan University
Pomona College
Haverford College
Duke University
Vassar College

Hello everyone! Here’s my college list:

Early Action: Yale University

Regular Decision: Columbia Univeristy, Pomona College

Maybe: Emory University, Georgia State

My major: chemistry, pre-med track.

How’s everyone doing in the application process?

Well, now I am just nervously waiting for December 15 to get here…

Other than that, majority of my applications are almost done. Just have to write a few more essays.

^Same. If there’s good news on December 15, I’ll just have to do some scholarship applications. If there’s really good news on December 15, then I’ll just be able to relax and enjoy my senior year.

I’m pretty much done with my applications. I’m applying to:

Duke

Washington University in St. Louis

University of Virginia

Cornell University

Virginia Commonwealth University

My first choice is Duke. Second is either UVa or WUSTL.

^Good luck! Did you apply to Duke ED?

No I ended up not applying. Mainly because I didn’t want to limit myself and I want to see if I can get scholarships to places like UVa or even VCU since I live in-state in Virginia and that would be a cool back up. Duke is extremely expensive but I hope their financial aide isn’t too bad. :(

That’s not a bad choice. I applied RD too. The binding factor of ED really turned me off, and I also wanted to consider other scholarships from other schools.

^My thoughts exactly! XD And my English teacher is requiring all of her AP Lit students to sit the exam. At least there’s only one this year, not five…

Daydream11, hahahaa my AP Lit teacher made us sign a form saying that too. But at my school, we have to pay for our own exams and I’m not paying $86 for a test that I won’t need. I already got a 5 on AP Language. What’s the point in two 5s?

Just submitted my applications for Regular Decision. I’m so nervous. :(

^Best of luck TangentQueen!
