Anyone hear yet?
In the past it has been an email every Friday in March. Admissions sends them and they go out to everyone who applied. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern to who hears which Friday. It’s a mix of yesses, nos and waitlists.
Thanks @GSOMTMom!!
So…it’s Friday, March 13th…did anyone hear from Syracuse yet?
Crickets over here
Nope. Not here, either.
No…
the silence is deafening
Almost to the 3rd Friday in March…
Today could possibly be the first wave! Why are there waves anyway? Ugh!

Do with it what you will…
Good morning College Confidentialers. I just wanted to take a moment to clarify;
Syracuse University has only begun to notify applicants in recent weeks and will continue to notify into early April.
Both your patience and your enthusiasm are appreciated. Please be sure to check your Myslice account and verify that all of your application materials have been recevied. If you have specific questions about your application status, Please don’t hesitate to email us at orange@syr.edu or call us at 315-443-3611.
D got acceptance via email then click to letter.
Same!
Okay so I realized that A TON of people received acceptances today. Did anyone recieve a rejection? Does this mean that if you didn’t recieve an acceptance today, you were rejected?
@MrBROadway22 (see post #10 above!!)
My d got acceptance to Syracuse’s College of Visual and Performing Arts via email linked to a letter yesterday. She is a sound designer/engineer for musical theater and did audition with all the performers at the January unifieds in NYC. This was her first choice with so many venues on campus needing sound engineering.
Does anyone know many students that Syracuse generally accepts into each MT class? Thanks!
Last year we were told (at accepted students day) that they accepted 35-40 to yield a class of around 20
Hi, my daughter is a Sophomore at Syracuse University, BFA Musical Theatre. Generally they accept on average 10 boys and 10 girls. However, last year it was a little lopsided on the girls side. ( I think it was 8 boys, 12 girls) It’s a great program, and my daughter is having a great experience (although she barely has time to breathe) I always believe that the kids end up getting accepted to the school that’s right for them. Good Luck!
