Conservatives wanted less “identity politics,” more shared ideals. Looks like they are getting more on the Founders, and toned down coverage of native Americans, race relations.
Does anyone have the actual framework? I’ve only seen news reports, which can be pretty vague. (Washington Post story had no details at all.)
Too late to edit, but this article has a lot of specific examples. In several cases the point is the same, but it’s toned down by using passive voice.

Given the fact that the U.S. Curriculum/test got a MASSIVE overhaul last year, this is more a minor edit. Honestly, I doubt I will even make many changes. Teachers listen to the CB (you need to know what types of questions they are going to ask) but I (and other APUSH teachers I know, but can hardly speak for everyone) don’t live and die by it. Frankly, I don’t think there is anything wrong with pointing out that the founding fathers were not necessarily “demigods among men”, or discussing the legacy of racism etc in our country- but I did that BEFORE the CB changed the curriculum, but then I read Howard Zinn at a formative moment.
The official statement states learning objectives will be reduced from 50 to 19 - this seems to be a pretty significant change - not to mention quite a bit of license to ‘whiewash’ the lessons.
But if you read them (and I did since I start teaching the class in a couple weeks) they combined a number of things…
