post your stats/intended major/ and how do you think you will fare?

we have an international student living with us from Korea and he applied ED.

I applied to CIT ED for ECE! :)

ACT- 34
SAT II- Math II 780, Chem 680
GPA W 4.1 UW 3.85

I was in the AP/EA program last summer, I have extracurriculars, good recs, good essays, blah blah blah…

I don’t know what my chances are, but I really hope that I get in.

Just saying- everyone but one person I went to Pre-college with at CMU summer 2009 is here with me as a freshman. All of us earned As and Bs in our classes. So pretty much- that seems to be a huge plus to admissions. Only person I know who was rejected got bad grades at pre-college. There’s about maybe 50 of us I think. Most of us live in Mudge. Some applied EA and some ED. Some of my friends didn’t go to CMU and ended up elsewhere too.

Good luck everyone!

I keep running into you nerds. Just tonight someone was like, “Hey, you’re completelykate, aren’t you?”

Awkward.

CK
I’m staying under the radar…yep I’m one of those nerds in mudge.
I didn’t think any of us were on CC-- that’s why it’s confidential and I’m keeping it that way. I don’t care to know who you are and don’t intend to introduce myself to you if I should bother to figure it out.

What do you have against nerds-- you use the term in such a negative way.
We nerds do earn alot of money and make the world spin.

Seriously to the OP and others here-- it’s pretty much a done deal that if you did well in pre-college, you are going to be admitted EA, ED or RD.

My picture’s in the front hallway. Spoiler alert.

It’s a term of endearment, not negativity. I consider myself among your number. I had a math teacher I was very fond of in high school who called everyone “nerd” or “nerdling.” I suppose I picked it up from him.
