@Ksty1098 I got a 71.
International student here, first attempt: M-800, CR-740, W-680 (-2 and 6 essay ) for a total of 2220. I will retake it in October for the Writing section.
My score went down 60 points! Does anyone know how to get that free test in October?
My score went up 230 points, but I was expecting a higher increase to be honest.
@mower2016 Call up the CB.
I got a 660CR the first time I took my SAT (January), so before the June SAT I did a few practice tests in the blue book and consistently scored in the mid to upper 700s. Walked out of the June SAT feeling pretty good about my score… ended up getting a 640CR. Oh well… at least my math and writing scores improved.
I was feeling so good about the test! And then the scores came and I apparently dropped by 160 points…I don’t even know…
Did anyone not get their essay score yet? My essay score doesn’t shoe up i don’t know why
@aznboi4981 What do I tell College Board when I call them? Do I just say that I felt that the missing section effected my score?
I am so so so upset with my CR and Writing!! I got 90 points lower in CR and 60 points lower in math… I feel like this test would be pretty detrimental to my college application. I can’t use score choice since it only allows you to the the scores in a specific test date. However, I did better in the Writing Section and I do believe that the college of my choice cares about writing. I feel horrible the whole day… Even though the college superscores based on the highest section score, but they still sees everything… I believe no one gets such a big change in CR and Math when he or she takes SAT the second time. ( changed for the worse) totally regret taking it again…
620 CR, 600 M, 480 Writing,
While my CR and M each boosted 20pts from the last time I took them in May, my writing dropped ten pts, I want to boost the score at least 200-300 pts ( 1900-2000 range) before october rolls around, but I’m really unsure on where to start
I emailed the College Board to get a waiver for my daughter for the October test after her scores came back. Their response:
"Thank you for contacting the College Board.
We have received your e-mail in regards to the June SAT test. We will be more than happy to assist you.
We remain confident in the reliability of scores from the June 6 administration of the SAT and don’t want to cause undue anxiety for students by making them believe they need to sit for the test again. We will waived the fee for the October SAT administration for students who let us know that their testing experience was negatively affected by the printing error.
Please be advised, in order to register for the October test without a fee, you must call our Customer Service Center at one of the numbers listed below. A Customer Service Agent will be able to assist you.
We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

I called and spent 20 minutes on the phone to get my D registered for the 10/3 test for free. It didn’t automatically show up as a free option in the registration section, but it appeared as ‘registered’ right after the phone call.
When you call say something like “…I’m calling to get get the fee waived for the 10/3 SAT test with essay as I feel my scored were negatively affected by the 6/6 testing issues.” They were very professional about it, but they will state again the same thing in this email.
Hope this helps those who are wondering what to do. Unfortunately, they’re not making it an automatic free option for those retaking and registering for the 10/3 test.
