Anyone got ideas for the video?

@woandering Working on summer apps too during the break? Yeah, I’m not quite sure what they expect either; I am just planning to talk in front of the camera in a interview fashion.

Do you know for the “We recognize that there can be more to ethnicity and culture than what is available through the dropdown box above. Please use this opportunity to elaborate” question, do they expect us to fill this out or is it just for strange or special cases?

@dallascowboys1
Special cases probably.

Does anyone know if the ‘tick if you’d like to be considered for merit scholarship’ will affect acceptance? Or is it just, if you’re good enough, you’re in. If you’re extra good, you get money.?

@Woandering They say that they accept you before even looking at whether you apply for a merit scholarship or not, but of course, who knows what they actually do…

@ninjasword975
You have as good a chance as most people, especially considering your ECs. The fact that you’re a freshman may play against you because of general maturity issues.
Anyone else submitted early applications yet?
Hey everybody. I’m applying to Launch but I have no idea what to say for the question “What do you want to pursue at Launch?” Are the asking for a specific idea for a product or something more general?
@theStatesman
Considering the previous question, I would think a somewhat specific idea for a product. I don’t think they would expect something too specific, more like a problem you would like to solve with your product.
So, anyone else submit the Launch Early Application?
Also, what did you guys do for your video?
@ajtalkar
I did. For Launch, I just did a face on chat. I was more creative with Endevvr.
would the launch early application be due by midnight of the 5th? or by midnight tonight…
@Orangebananapeel
I think midnight of the 5th (midnight being 12pm EST), but definitely don’t leave it until then. I had some problems with the Endevvr application, but luckily I was ready to submit the morning of deadline.
@Woandering
So endevvr is your top choice?
I looked at some of the other application vids posted on youtube and now I’m kinda vexed. All of them are face chats, talking about ECs, personalities and such. My video was a parody of BroScienceLife…
Not sure if that’s a good thing or a really bad thing
@Orangebananapeel
Don’t leave it to the last minute. After you finish all the other components, you have to do a “Mindset” evaluation. It took me 20 minutes. So just plan enough time to get that done.
@ajtalkar
No, Endevvr let you do whatever you wanted. Launch wanted an introduction, so I thought a face video would be better.
can someone give me an example of what they are looking for in the future plans for “academic interests” or “career interests”?
Does it mean for ex. what i want to study in college?
and what kind of job i want?
I took it as academic interests and said Economics and Computer Science
The “mindset” evaluation was so weird… anyone else?
For those of you applying to both programs, which one would you choose if you got into both?
What do they mean by “When you consider all your natural tendencies, what behaviors do you believe will be most helpful to you having a successful Launch experience?”
I’m unsure on what “behaviors” means.
