2015 RD Admission Letters...

Yeah, I’ll give it a rest. I’m just really anxious to hear back from them. It is an interesting theory though. We’ll discover its validity in about a week!

I’d guess that students are seeing their FAFSA profiles updated, and the differences in cost are likely due to differences in travel costs (if you live further from Reed, expenses are higher). Have a look at [Reed College | Financial Aid | REED COLLEGE - Financial Aid](http://www.reed.edu/financialaid/cost_of_attendance.html).

Yeah, my fin aid page has just been updated to display my estimated cost of attendance (~58k/year). I think they’re going through every account.

@Ghostt

And why would they bother with people who didn’t get in you know what I’m sayin?? I don’t know. All pure speculation at this point.

I don’t know, I don’t think the admissions office would be careless/callous enough to give everyone access to the website and then only update the accounts of the people it’s accepted.

^ Yes, why would they give an early read? Plus, it could be easier to push the button and let the computer update everyone, rather than going to the trouble of making individual selections. Plus, admissions and financial aid are two seperate operations.

[Voices from Reed](http://blogs.reed.edu/reed_voices/)

“…the final round of applications for admission have been reviewed, with mailings to go out to students around the world at the end of the week.”

hooray!

Great input…end of the week it is, then!

reed is the only school left to hear back from for me =))

Today is going to be such a slow day.

It’s not gonna be today. Admissions are closed :P

^The person in the admissions office I talked to yesterday said that it would be today. Be patient.

^Yeah, idk what I was thinking, but I’ve already been accepted, so I’m just impatient to get more contact from Reed  I’ve been deprived for months!

Best of luck everyone :)

sup matt, you enjoying your time before reed?

School’s definitely taken on a more relaxed air for me. Even though I never cared that much before about my numerical average, it’s really nice knowing that I can work for good grades ** just ** for myself, and not for a college. Like, this year, I’m working on getting an A- in AP Calc on the year, and it’s so satisfying knowing that this is completely independent of college admissions.

You apply ED too, or RD?

I had the same feeling last year, but now it is sort of biting me because I let a few grades slip to B :p.

My acceptance was rescinded last year. I am going to bump my old thread in the reed forum when I hear my decision for this year :D. If I go to reed, I definitely want to meet you!

^You got your acceptance rescinded for a few B’s? Wow. Is that an exaggeration or is Reed just unusually stringent when it comes to final grades?

No I got my acceptance rescinded for doing bad things that got me in legal trouble. You can read all about it when I bump my thread. I have no hard feelings toward reed, I think they made the right decision

Ha…See…I’ve had quite a few B’s throughout my tenure in high school…Especially Pre-Calc and Physics last year. Thankfully AP Calc is easier, and I dropped science for more English and a study hall! >D All in all, it shouldn’t bite you too bad.

Ohhhhh right, I remember your thread. Yeah I thought your name looked familiar; my bad! Yeah we should definitely hang out; really can’t wait to make more friends. You thinking of doing a SEEDs odyssey if you get in?

what’s a seeds odyssey?
