Oh San Diego, why must you make us wait…
Reading the last years transfer thread made me all worried. People with 3.6+ gpas were getting denied… :-S
Hey guys! Mine still says pending but here are my stats:
OOS (probably what is gonna be a huge factor) transfer from CC
3.76 GPA
International Business Major - N.America French
Already accepted into SJSU and Fullerton but those are kind of my safeties so we’ll see, SDSU is next on the list to hear back from. I still have more in end of March and April. I’ve been refreshing my inbox every 15 mins today…
you’re not alone! I’ve been sitting here refreshing mine too haha. I don’t know anything about business majors but I’d say you have a really great shot!
Hey guys! ive been staring at this thread all week so i figured id make an account.
been refreshing my inbox every hour and no luck.
Major: Sociology
GPA: 3.4
Major GPA: 3.9
AAT
Northern California, although some pre reqs taken at Palomar.
super nervous, this is the first on im hearing from. I already got admitted into UC davis under tag, but would prefer to be in so cal. all the other schools, UC’s and even cal poly are all in april. going to have an anxiety attack until then…
good luck everyone!
@eugenius310 good for you, thats awesome! Good to hear from another social work major I hope you’ll post when you hear from SDSU!
I really wanted to take SW110 in the fall, but I was living in the bay area and SDSU doesn’t have any equivalency agreements for those courses outside of so cal.
@tessanicole Ack I know! And then also people with much lower GPAs were getting accepted? Which is really confusing to me because it’s not like the applications have a written component? This is supposed to be a numbers game with CSUs so I’m not sure what’s happening there.
@socworktransfer I definitely will! I’m eagerly waiting to find out as you probably can imagine. I will keep my fingers crossed for the both of us!
Looks like people in the regular admissions have started to receive waitlist options/denied apps.
Hopefully transfers hear soon! Maybe tonight or tmrow?
@lbstudies oooo hopefully! did you see that on the regular decision forums?? I haven’t been checking
edit: by regular decision I meant not transfers lol whoops
@lbstudies Hopefully! I cant find anything for pre-hospitality majors in the threads from last year (Or I overlooked them lol) So I hope I’m with the first dispatch !
Still pending
@tessanicole Yes I saw it on the regular decisions thread forum (:
I haven’t seen a single other history major in this thread or in the class of 2019 thread :-??
Still pending as well. I have a feeling we might start hearing back tomorrow, but that is only based on a hunch
@SDSUHopeful4 I am a liberal studies major… and I don’t think I have ever seen someone post about it
Pending here too!
Only heard of one other Anthropology applicant and that was last year. They got denied, hope my fate is different
I haven’t seen any general Communication majors on here either…just Health Communication which is weird because it’s one of the most popular majors at SDSU. According to SDSU’s stats, last year they received over 1,100 transfer applications for the general Communication major.
I’m so stressed out about hearing back from them!
GPA: 3.01
Location: Bay Area
Major: Political science
I got accepted to CSULB as an international studies major so I am wondering if my chances at SDSU are still good? I know my GPA is not the best so I am not keeping my hopes too high.
GPA: 3.7
Location: Los Angeles
Major: Communications Public Relations
I was also accepted to CSULB and am just waiting on SDSU…
Major: Social science
GPA: 2.9
Decision: Pending
Location: SDCC
AA, not an AT
Attended SDSU right out of hs and got disqualified in my second academic year. My GPA was so terrible that getting it anywhere close to a 3.0 has been a brutal challenge. @raychill89 Where did you see how many students applied to each major? I assume that social science is not very popular, which is the only reason I have any hope of getting back in with my GPA, that and being local.
I think we’re all in the same boat @fall2015SFBoy ! Hopefully any day/week now, we will know our fate. It’s worrisome for those of us who have been denied admission from a backup school. Basically all my eggs are now in one basket haha. I feel like I am going crazy waiting for a decision. It’s all I can think about and it’s keeping me up at night. This is horrid.
@joehochs You’re right that social science is not very popular which is awesome for you. They only received 75 transfer applications last year and accepted 44 of them! Here you go, bud: http://university-stats.sdsu.edu/reports/Apps_UG/all_app_admt_enrl_major_ug_144.pdf
