@CodyNigh71 do you think having a AS-T in business admin actually hurt your chances of getting in last year? I thought an AS-T helped, but after looking into everyone’s posts I feel like AS-T people will not actually have first priority.
I received an email
Does anyone know where to see the Financial Aid Award for SDSU?
@fitlo2194 Have you gotten any change on your admission status yet? I hope we get in too!

Accepted! Super excited however I have a problem. I am not doing well in calculus and am not likely to get a C in the class. I have everything else done for transfer but this one class might completely ruin my acceptance. What are my options? Summer school?
@kepanda no I’m still pending I’ve only seen one admit for public health and that was using my Instagram stalking skills haha he appeared to be a veteran so maybe that is why he was notified before, who even knows. I don’t feel like there’s much rhyme or reason to san Diego’s admission process but as long as we are on the good side of the nonsense I’m ok with it haha.
@Wrex250 Congratulations! Well, if the class is a prerequisite for your major you might need to pull a C. I think SDSU weighs major prereqs more than GPA (so I’ve come to glean from this thread). It might be worthwhile to call the admissions office and ask. I haven’t heard of any circumstances where you could take summer classes right before you transfer in… maybe since you’re a local they’ll just make you retake calc at Mesa this coming fall since you would be able to both go to SDSU and fix your grade, but who knows- again, just ask the school!
I am still pending for the Pre-physical Therapy BS, and am a non-local with an AD-T- cumulative GPA 3.27. There don’t seem to be a lot of kinesiology majors who come onto collegeconfidential, so I can’t really gauge where I stand. I know their program has a long history and is good, fingers crossed! I got into Long Beach last month for exercise science so hopefully that is an indicator- both CSULB and SDSU are competitive. I would be stoked to go to either, but SDSU is the bomb!
Still waiting hombre @EconomicsSDSU . Hella nervous. I got in Long Beach but I’m not sure if I want to be paying for board on top of tuition.
@tokipop10 I am also a Linguistics major! I’m transferring from SFSU with an overall GPA of 3.01 and a major GPA of 3.7+. I’m currently in my senior year. I still haven’t received a decision. Good luck to you!

…How about you?
Thanks, for the insight. Unfortunately its part of my AS-T and I had an awful professor which required me to teach myself. I can’t blame it all on that though, I just couldn’t balance it with my other units. I’m setting up an appointment with a State counselor tomorrow and dropping into Mesa’s counseling program as well. There is one later section of calculus but it would involve me dropping an elective that doesn’t pertain to my degree, just hoping that that drop would be overlooked if it allowed me to complete the AS-T. Stressing pretty hard over here. Wish me luck!
Hey @Wrex250 which calculus are you taking??
Hello, I have a quick question. I have been admitted and I was wondering if I had to notify the school that I am not taking one of the courses that was planned, because it turned out that I did not need it after all. That course was not one of my pre-requisites.
@Wrex250 You’re taking Math 121, right? Have you taken advantage of the tutoring at Mesa?
Yes, math 121. I was in the tutoring center for a good 20 hours leading up to the exam with no prevail, used khan academy also to no prevail. Unfortunately it’s only a 4 exam class with no other credit and I bombed the first one hard. I’m really hoping I can get into the second section and now that I’m well established in my other classes I can spend even more time studying.
Ah nevermind. It’s been a while since I took 121. I took 122 last semester so
I thought maybe I could help…but seeing that the tutor center is not much help I probably wouldn’t be either! Lol what are you guys learning right now? Are derivatives and integration in 121? I can’t remember
@gh0stii thanks for your response about the TAG/SW sitch.
This is very disappointing to find out… It’s making me nervous about my chances of getting accepted.
I wonder if this means I’ll need to submit my AA-T/AS-T? I don’t even know where to start I’m going to speak to someone at my transfer center tomorrow to make sure I have everything I need to get to SDSU.
@paigekorinn did you have to submit that AA- stuff recently?
I’m so confused now.
@meg1010 Yes, derivatives and integration are within Math 121!

Am I the only one that is trying to go into Film on this forum? I’ve posted in the past and keep updated with my constant lurking every day and still don’t see any Film applicants.
It’s a good thing I think that there are few Film students. I mean don’t get me wrong, I would love to see others in my same major get in as well, but from last year’s stats of 259 applied and 35 admitted get me a little worried [-O<
