@katrinacullen This year, it is a completely different process than last year for ADT e-verification. Last year, there was a lot of confusion about how the ADT was supposed to be verified and it was actually the responsibility of the students, not the schools. This year however, it is a more automated process and the schools are taking care of it to prevent the many mishaps that happened last year. If you received that email, your ADT will be e-verified. Mesa college will be sending them out by the 13th since they will not be in the office on the 15th.
I went into the transfer center yesterday and sat with someone for a long while asking all about this stuff. It will be done. Just make sure your name is on that list.
@raychill89 Yeah I called and the lady said my name is on there but it hasn’t been verified but she didn’t tell me that it will be done by the 13th…I feel like they don’t even know what they’re doing >_> She said she will contact the evaluators and call me back. This whole process is so confusing. But for sure by the 13th right for mesa?
@katrinacullen I called them the other day and the lady called me back and said that mine was verified on the 2nd. Reading about last years horror story made me a little paranoid so I called to make sure.
If anything, the school that we go to (since Mesa is in SDSUs local area) is really on top of it and knows exactly what needs to be done since they deal with the majority of their students transferring to SDSU every year. I would be worried if I went to a school that was far away and that didn’t have too much experience working with SDSU transfer students. Just make sure you continue checking in! That’s what I’ve been doing. They all probably think I am neurotic because I go in there and call frequently, but they will have it covered…I have faith.
@gh0stii I was actually told the verifications were sent back in February by someone in the transfer center, but one of the managers or supervisors there in the transfer center told me they have not sent them in yet but will by March 13th.
I got rejected today (Social Work). I’m pretty bummed, but I will apply again in the fall. I wish I had known about SW not being a part of the TAG program anymore because I didn’t apply anywhere else, so now I’m delayed a year, but it’s all good. I’ll be better prepped come next year.
@eugenius310 I love your positive outlook. I am very sorry it didn’t work out this year, but you’re right. This will just buy you more time to have all your ducks in a row for next year.
@eugenius310 I haven’t heard back yet. Still pending and probably will be through the end of the month and possibly into April. I will definitely post when I find out, and thank you so much! Keep your head up!
@eugenius310 You and me both buddy. I got denied today as well for Social Work. Such a bummer…Hoping I hear something good from CSUSM since thats the only other school I applied too. Hope everyone else has better luck!
@paigekorinn I think you will have a good shot at CSUSM. Stay positive. There are also a TON of great online programs at really good universities if all else fails. That’s honestly what I will end up doing if I am denied from SDSU.
@paigekorinn Ah ok, I see. Will you get your MSW at CSUSM once you finish your undergrad? I’m pretty sure they have it if i’m not mistaken. I didn’t get my associate degree bc it’s not required for the SW major. It’s impacted is what they told me today… I was under the impression bc it said this on there website; that it was part of the TAG program, but it’s not anymore.
@raychill89 Yeah, I’m going to look into online programs now just to see what’s out there in case I don’t want to wait a year. Do you have any schools you would recommend?
