I’m from Thailand.
I went to High School in Thailand and graduated with 3.75.
I applied to UT Fall2016, I got denied.
So, I went to UTSA (Freshman year).
- My GPA is 3.9 (30 hrs)
- I'm a dental assistant.
- 3 LORs
One from Dr. I worked for (he got MBA from UT), second one from High School Math teacher, and last one from English professor.
I dont have a lot of activities.
- member of French club
- member of Key club.
I dont have a lot of community service either.
- Thai care (raised funds to support orphanages in Thailand)
-Dental Community Service.
I speak Thai, English, French, and Japanese.

Wow you were a shoe-in tbh with those LORs, GPA, and work/life experience! I have a 4.0 GPA and was in Phi Theta Kappa, as well as an early graduate and 2 LORs, so hopefully I can get in!

@hookempls You can get into government with a 3.0. You have nothing to worry about.

How long does it typically take for transcripts to reach the school when its by mail from an in-state college? Mine was sent out last Friday (5/19), and it still hasn’t gotten there as of 5/24. Most people have said it’ll take 3-5 business days, and here we are coming up on 5. Hopefully it’ll show up soon… cutting it close.
Checked this morning and all my credits checked out fine, my app is in review now. Home stretch baby!!! I’ll post when I get my decision
@krisstory99 bad idea to send through mail. I when I applied for admission for the spring semester, I sent my transcripts through the mail and they were never received and I was denied admission. I even wrote an appeal but that was denied too because they had already reached the cap for the amount of students they were admitting and could not take anymore. So from personal experience I would submit them electronically (1) because it only take about two business days (2) it is a more efficient way to make sure they arrive.
Just wondering, is a 3.81 GPA good enough for COLA government? Info for a friend, not for me. Thx

I sent my transcript in last semester and everything worked fine… this is really starting to worry me though. I hope they receive it soon… tomorrow will be 1 week since I sent it. That’s bullshit that that happened to you.
Okay they received it! The “1 thing needed to do: send in transcript” is now under the things done list. Now it just takes a couple of days to process but I know that they timestamp the date that they receive it which is today so yay!
And still haven’t received a decision. :)) [-O<
