2016/2017 UT Austin Transfer Thread

@krisstory99 I had 3 letters of recommendation, 33 hours when accepted 4-14-17 into UT but 45 now after spring (idk which one you need)
And I had quite a bit of volunteering on mine as well

Thanks I appreciate it! @p0726n

By the way guys, if you just kinda casually look at this thread and have been admitted/denied, please comment your stats and stuff that are important to admission (the things I listed next to people’s names) if you haven’t already.

Both admittance and denials are important for the list to help get a good look at where they stand!!

Still in review. I think I’m starting to prepare for rejection :frowning:

Mine has only been in review for a day. I’m hoping that I can get a speedy decision. From what I’ve seen they usually give the 4.0s pretty swift ones, so hopefully it’ll be that way for me too.

I applied to McCombs (and iMPA program), no second choice, cumulative GPA is 3.72 (most recent at ACC is 3.929, which includes all McCombs pre-reqs). I already have an Associates in Business. 90+ credits but I think only about 70 is transferrable. 3 Essays, 1 LOR, relevant volunteer work and work experience. I noticed last year most McCombs acceptances/rejects didn’t happen until June 15 or later… so 19 more days! My application has been “In review” since March. So, I take no news as I’m still in the running. ::fingers crossed::: If I don’t get accepted I’m probably going to Concordia since they offered me a scholarship, and I do not want to commute to TX State (I live in Round Rock) since I have kids, I’d rather be close by

@krisstory99 You will probably want to separate CNS from CS, since they are essentially much different schools with CS being far more competitive.

Is anyone else with 30+ hours still waiting to hear back from cola?

Yeah. Been in review since February.

I’m still waiting to hear from COLA and I have 78 hours

Is a 3.821 good enough for cola with a good number of medical internships and good essays, Rec letters, and pretty good resume ? Any opinions welcome, pls help

@fespj

Just bc ur in review still doesn’t mean ur gonna get rejected. It all depends on luck about when you find out. What are your stats?

My app has been in review since February as well lol.
Still waiting to hear back from Moody/RTF. OOS, so the odds are probably against me.
Would really like to know if I got in or not though since I’m going to be relocating from Seattle and need to plan housing and plane tickets…

@wickedwarrior777 We don’t work for admissions, we wouldn’t know. No matter what we tell you won’t make a difference. We’re all just here waiting to see if our stats are “good enough.” Just chill and wait and see dude

@anna9r we are both OOS RTF! I hope we hear back soon but judging by last years decisions, it won’t be until around June 15.

I’m waiting to hear back for CS/Government. My application has been in review since February too. 34 credits, 3.88 GPA, 1 LOR from previous CS professor, self-taught CS/web development, and work full-time as developer at a tech company in Austin.

@juliar95 Ahh best of luck!! RTF sounds like an amazing program.

@krisstory99 I had 42 hours when accepted and 5 clubs (just saying this because you had put a ? behind my hours on your list, and I noticed you made a section for clubs too)

BTW -> Thanks for the list! These lists were honestly the most helpful lists when it came to the transfer process, its was probably the best resource in seeing what the standards were and re assuring myself I wasn’t just shooting in the dark.

To those of y’all already accepted, do we receive an acceptance letter upon acceptance or do we have to accept the admissions offer and pay the enrollment deposit first?

Im commenting so you can add me to the list
