2016/2017 UT Austin Transfer Thread

I came to UT today, and an admission office allowed me to take picture of the statics sheet of 2016 transfer. I have data about number of applications and admitted applicants for each college.school. Also, I also have data about average transfer GPA for each college. What college are you trying to get in?

Please tell me know if anyone need data about transfer to UT.

@scientist89 Average GPA for Moody, liberal arts, and college of education. Please and thank you!

Not sure if it’s possible, but can you just post the picture on here please?

Thx

@scientist89

I would love to see the stats for CoLA - Psych. My goal is a BS in Psych.

I do not know how to post picture here.
Fall 2016 Transfer

Education:

  • 314 Applied, 103 Admitted, 68 Enrolled
  • Average Transfer GPA: 3.32 Applied, 3.72 Admitted, 3.74 Enrolled

Liberal Arts:
1611 Applied, 1655 Admitted (the reason is some students are not admitted to their 1st choice, so they are admitted to LA), 1240 Enrolled.

  • Average GPA: 3.42 Applied, 3.62 Admitted, 3.62 Enrolled.

Business:

  • 1102 Applied, 94 Admitted, 77 Enrolled
  • Average GPA: 3.53 Applied, 3.92 Admitted, 3.92 Enrolled

Engineering :

  • 1532 Applied, 140 Admitted, 96 Enrolled
  • Average GPA: 3.44 Applied, 3.91 Admitted, 3.92 Enrolled.

Communication:

  • 961 Applied, 399 Admitted, 293 Enrolled
  • Average GPA: 3.38 Applied, 3.70 Admitted, 3.72 Enrolled

You may not believe, but CNS is the 3rd most competitive college in UT. Its average transfer GPA is higher than I thought. However I could apply to any colleges or majors because my GPA is 4.0. I chose Biophysics instead.

College of Natural Sciences:

  • 1684 Applied, 484 Admitted, 320 Enrolled.
  • 3.45 Applied, 3.75 Admitted, 3.75 Enroll.

Good bless u scientist89

Lol @wickedwarrior777

Thank you, but I am not sneezing now. Anyone need stats about OOS?
1493 applied, 322 admitted (21.6% of applicants), 101 enrolled (6.8% of applicants)

Who’s still awaiting spring decisions?

@scientist89 What are the stats for nursing?

Very low acceptance rate. You can count on the fingers of your hand.

Nursing:
349 Applied, 7 Admitted, 5 Enrolled
3.36 Applied, 3.29 Admitted, 3.39 Enrolled

Has anyone been admitted for the spring yet, or is currently in review?

@irltots What? Your GPA is higher Fall 2016 average admitted GPA which is 3.62.
I was admitted to CNS for Spring 2017 with a GPA 4.0.
It is getting harder and harder to transfer to UT, and it is also harder for Freshmen. Next year, UT just accept top 7% instead of 8% this year.

@spedchick @elizard See the last page, I posted stats about transfer. You can predict your chance by yourself. Your GPAs are higher average admitted GPA to COE and COLA

I’m not even in review yet
