Still waiting on Psych B.S. I put neuroscience for my second choice but won’t go to U.T. if I don’t get into my first choice major. Started the application in January and been in review since February. Still nothing… Obviously not first come first serve. Any of you guys still waiting on Psych?
Or have any of you been in review for several months now?
@supersaiyanhan you don’t have to be undeclared I would prefer to be undeclared rather than be a major in psych just because it’s not really something I want to study (i wanted my second choice to be biology but i had picked psych first and for some reason it would not let me change it :/) Maybe you can try to talk to an advisor and see what your options are?

Hey y’all, also been lurking here for months now. Found out today around 6pm that I didn’t get into COLA International Relations. 3.45 GPA (45 hrs), 2 decent-good essays, 2 LORs, a few ECs. What is a bit unique and something that I thought would make my application stand out (as this is a holistic application process) is that I studied abroad, which sort of redefined everything for me. I’m pretty bummed out but I see I’m not the only one who was let down by this years admissions. What do you guys think of the prospect of appealing? I mean, what are the chances they actually accept it? Don’t be too hard on yourselves guys. How bout an Oprah quote?: “I don’t want anyone who doesn’t want me.”
I was just rejected to both RTF and Socialogy COLA with a 3.893 and good ECs and 3 LOR and 3 good essays and I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Can anybody give me answers please
3.7 gpa for history doesnt seem like its enough.
Hoping I dont get rejected. Anyone on here get accepted into history?
@2020Ut ur gpa is high for COLA. But i think its because of you putting it as second. I would call on monday to see why they rejected you. they will prob give an answer
Long time lurker as well here to say I’ve been accepted to McCombs. I was pretty concerned seeing 4.0s and 3.9s getting denied but I guess I lucked out

@2020UT you should call monday and see if you are still in review for COLA, I find it hard to believe that they denied you for both.
What does the page say when they deny you?
Like did it just say sorry you were not accepted to RTF. maybe they just rejected you for RTF only? Idk 3.89 sounds way to good to get rejected from both.
It says sorry we are unable to offer you admittance at this time. Nothing about being in review for anything else. But yeah I’ll call Monday. It sucks I got this decision late on a Friday so now I have to wait this whole weekend to talk to anybody.
@2020UT Stay positive, a lot of COLA people have yet to receive any decision including myself. It might be just RTF.

Sitting here re-reading my essays and looking over my application again like a madman and crossing my fingers that two of the tree LORs I got but were unable to read are excellent as well…going crazy. My URL is showing 00 still and idk if that means anything but i’ve been checking that like crazy too. I really hope I get in, still in review. COLA got the boy stressed out right now…

@UTMccombs2017 didn’t you say that when you were rejected from your first choice that it just said you weren’t admitted? But that you were still in review for Econ and got in later? Or am I mistaken? Like did it say that you were still in review for Econ on your mystatus after you were denied your first choice?
