I got denied for RTF, I am going to appeal with my spring semester gpa to show a positive academic trend and that I am obviously ready for the course work. UGH my dual credit really killed me.

@sadri123 they have a schedule online. first day its from 9:30-12 and a break and then till like 8:45

@sadri123 You can usually change to unrestricted majors within your college at any time. Generally, if you’re applying to a major in a different college or a restricted major, you’ll have to wait until spring, but check the college’s website to be sure, since it varies.

@duddy113 my son was just accepted into his second choice of COLA as a transfer student from a community college. His first choice was RTF. You having successfully transferred internally from COLA to RTF, can you offer advice to us? I know he needs to be careful in choosing his classes, gpa, but do they also require an internal transfer to be under a certain number of credit hours? He already has an associates degree from the community college. I am nervous that he may spend a year at UT and then still be denied the internal transfer, when we know of a few other universities with great film degrees that have a July 1 application deadline. He truly wants UT and is willing to work through the year and apply to internally transfer. Any help you could share is greatly appreciated. He has a tough decision to make. He has two siblings both in college as well so he cannot just choose any school due to our budget. We are Texas residents and having in-state tuition is a must. Thank you!
