It seems like Cornell’s acceptance rate fluctuates up and down. In 2015 it was around 18% but for 2014 it was around 14%. What do you think the acceptance rate will be for the class of 2020? Have apps gone up or down?
For the Class of 2018 it was 14.2
2019 was 15.0
ED apps were up ~7% this year, RD apps may have increased as well. Won’t know until they release. Probably in the 14 range.
@hagzzz Yeah that would make sense if it returned to the 14% range. Who knows though maybe they could’ve gotten a giant increase in apps for RD. Does anyone know?
2014 - 14.2%
2015 - 14.9%
2016 - ~12% - That’s what I would estimate
That would be crazy! @OMGDEVICE is this your intuition or do you know?
Seems unlikely, more like 13-14%. Probably got a increase in RD apps plus they admitted more ED students.
They could accepted more ED to fill class more and increase yield, and than reject more during RD. Similar to what Hopkins does.
