Definitely on my schedule for Friday, a week before the rehearsal. Unfortunately I am showing renewed symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. Occupational therapy treatments on my hands have definitely helped but I am very stiff especially when I wake up and I can’t come close to making a fist until the Tylenol Arthritis/ibuprofen combo kicks in. One more round of Prednisone starting Friday.
My H finds Voltaren (topical & bought fairly inexpensively at Costco) is very helpful for his aging joints and body. We also sometimes use the OTC Costco lidocaine patches.

Be careful with those lidocaine patches and topical pain relievers if you’re on blood thinners or can’t take NSAIDs. My doc vetoed them for me.

Also be careful combing oral NSAIDS with topical ones like Aspercreme or Voltaren.
(Voltaren was my magic drug for knee pain.)

Thanks so much, @1214mom! I am on vacation this week (not that I get paid; I work as a fee-for-service therapist from home for a community -based mental health clinic) and I feel like I have done what I need to do! Airbnb rented, rental car reserved, dress hemmed. Communicating with family and friends arriving/arrived from far far away. Grateful for my final round of Prednisone; maybe I won’t have to wear the ugly brace on my hand!
