2016 ED Deferred Thread

<p>Hey. By judging from the other ED thread it seems like a good amount of students were deferred like myself. I was hoping we could all share our stats and schools that we applied to. Also any thoughts on what you guys might do to boost your chances of admission during RD are also welcome. Does anyone know what the chances/stats of deferred students being admitted are?</p>

<p>GPA 3.86/5
SAT: 1630…</p>

<p>Idk what I will do other than get As in my classes this year for when I send in senior grades.</p>

<p>I was deferred too but I sent in my senior grades late. 3.03 GPA 1760 SAT 27 ACT</p>

<p>I sent my senior grades in at the middle of November with straight As… Now I have to keep trying for straight As second quarter… :(</p>

<p>I didn’t apply to BU ED (I applied RD) but one question, when applying did you check off the CGS option as well as your specific school? That boosts acceptance.</p>

<p>@Laxkid - did you list the other schools you are applying to? Little nervous about that even though they say it doesn’t affect admissions…</p>

<p>Do you guys know anyone that got rejected ED? It seems as if everyone was deferred…which worries me</p>

<p>Yeah, I get that idea too. Too bad we don’t know the statistics of people who get deffered and then accepted to BU from last year. That would help has get a good reference point for what are chances are. I also wouldn’t compare ourselves to other schools since BU has such a low Early Decision acceptance rate in comparison to its acceptance rate.</p>

<p>So half of the ED applicants were accepted this year, was everyone else deferred? It sure seems that way</p>

<p>Did you guys get an email that said when your application decision was posted on your account or did you have to check everyday to see when it was posted?</p>
