Hi -- my daughter was hoping to sit in on some classes when she went back to Rochester for one of the 2016 Experience days. When she went to the website to "build her day", there wasn't anything about sitting in on classes. Is sitting in on classes something that needs to be scheduled in advance? She didn't want to sign up for other activities until she knew about the class visits.

Also, can accepted students overnight at Rochester before or after the 2016 Experience Days?

When you arrive on campus for the 2016 Experience, you will be handed a welcome packet.

Inside the Welcome Packet will be a list of open classes that day. You can usually work around your schedule to fit in some open classes. (You don’t have to strictly abide by your itinerary, it is simply a guideline.) The only event that we don’t want you to miss is the City Bus Tour. Spots on this bus are limited, and they are only available on a first come, first serve sign-up basis. If you sign up for a City Bus Tour, you should go on it.

Students can only stay overnight Monday - Thursday with a campus host. Call our office if you would like to schedule an overnight. There will not be any hosting opportunities on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights.

I recommend staying overnight. My kid had a great time. We dropped off her deposit on the way out. The visit is really worth it. And if you do it, you pretty much don’t have to do any parent orientation in the fall.
