2016 Fall Brown Transfer Waitlist

@transferable Yeah I don’t know. I’ve been writing a pretty long letter just to demonstrate my interest. I’m really not sure if that’s appropriate.

@Hanshen Got into Vanderbilt, Michigan, UVA, and UMiami. Rejected from Columbia, Cornell, and Penn so far. Not sure what my weaknesses are, but I had like a 2.6 in high school so that may play a part.

@hanshen No, Hopefully that clears up a spot for one of you guys! Good luck!

@CudleWudles Congrats on Vanderbilt and Michigan! I got accepted by Mich as well but I don’t really like the atmosphere there, despite it’s a really great school. Brown is my top choice. How about you?

@MikeSauce Thank you for that! Good luck on your future pathway!

@Hanshen Brown is also my top choice.

Hi. I’m waitlisted too. Top choice as well. Good luck to everyone!

@victardo Mind sharing your stats?

Um, sure.

School: De Anza Community College (primarily)
GPA: 3.7-3.9 (not sure TBH)
SAT: N/A
ACT: N/A
Concentration: Urban Studies

Sorry if it’s kind of bare.

Can you all add if you applied for FA or not? (along with yout stats.)

Yes on financial aid!

I didn’t and my stats are above.

Didn’t apply for FA

what’s the deadline to respond to the waitlist? my portal is currently not letting me log in…

It says two weeks from the day you were notified

Any one else have problems with their portal? When I log on the only option I have is to review my application, then look at the decision itself. Not sure where to submit my letter. Also:

School: Mid-tier Private (think US top 75)
Year: Applying for sophomore
GPA: 3.95
ACT: 35
HS GPA: 3.0
Concentration: Public Policy
FA: Yes

Anyone hear from Brown? So anxious about the result.

@kudoangel haven’t heard anything.

Just a heads up: decisions will come in the mail—not email. I asked because I’m out of the country. I didn’t ask about the exact dates it’ll come out, and they probably don’t know, but they mentioned in the email it’d be mid-June as we already know.

Thank you! Do you know whether the transfer wait list will be released at the same time with the freshman wait list, or later? Since I heard some people already admitted from the wait list
