Still nothing (not even in spam/junk)…
This wait is actually killing me.
Maybe it’s a time zone thing but still nothing
Has anyone called the admissions office ?
Denied
Received the email (sadly not accepted into WOW but the wait is at least over )
Got the denied email just now. Congrats to those who got in!
Denied lol oh well
@collegeclassof21 @TheSmallPrint @dilettante023 @spydantheman1 what did the email say? did you get a fee waiver?
Denied, but I was wondering if everyone who was denied received the email that offered the phone call to receive feedback on the applicant’s WOW application and a fee waiver for the college app and the CSS profile? I did, but I don’t whether to feel special or not…
@supercilious nope nothing just a rejection.
Denied but not surprised because I filled out and turned in my application 2 days late.
Guys maybe check further down the email! I got a fee waiver and a phone call. Read futher down!! “Before you delete this email…”
@appcolleges7 yup, got denied, but the phone call offer as well
Does anyone remember if we had to send a transcript? lol because if we did i think that’s what did it for me.
@appcolleges7 here’s my rejection letter:
Dear [name redacted],
I’m writing to let you know that, unfortunately, we’re unable to include you among the 2016 WOW Scholars, but I want to be sure you understand why. The WOW program was developed to provide students from low-income backgrounds the opportunity to visit campus. Because the WOW applicant pool includes so many students who come from modest financial circumstances, we prioritize those students when determining how to distribute our funding for the program.
Before you delete this email, I want to be sure you know that this decision is in no way a reflection of how impressed we are by your application. In fact, we think you’re a terrific candidate for the Williams Class of 2021 and very much hope you’ll apply. You should know that each year, we accept many students during Early Decision and Regular Decision who we were unable to include in the WOW program.
If you have any questions about the college application process, or if I can help in any way, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. I wish you all the best for a wonderful senior year and I look forward to reviewing your Williams application this winter.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Gonzalez

Does anyone know if they send this to everyone who got rejected?
I have also reviewed the fee waivers and phone call thing
I got the fee waiver and the phone call offer thing as well, I feel like it’s a crumb to make us feel good but I’ll take it (literally only spent 30 min on app so not too bad I guess get something out of it )
@supercilious Here’s mine:
Thank you for your interest in the Windows on Williams (WOW) program. This year’s WOW applicant pool is among the largest and strongest in the program’s history, and unfortunately, we cannot accept all of fantastic students who applied. I’m sorry that we’re unable to include you among the 2016 WOW Scholars.
Before you delete this email, I want to be sure you understand that this decision is not a reflection of your potential to be a strong applicant for the Williams Class of 2021. In fact, we have waived your application fee and the fee for submitting the CSS PROFILE, and very much hope you’ll apply to Williams. Directions on how to take advantage of your application fee waivers are included at the bottom of this email.
I’m also excited to offer you the opportunity to receive feedback on your WOW application from a Williams admission officer. Throughout the month of August, admission officers will be available for 30-minute phone appointments to discuss your WOW application and answer any questions you have about the college application process. You can register for a phone appointment here. This opportunity is offered to a small number of WOW applicants who we believe will be strong candidates to Williams. Each year, we admit many students during Early Decision and Regular Decision who we were unable to include in WOW, but with whom we had a chance to speak during a summer phone call.
Lastly, I want you to know that if you apply and are admitted to the Williams Class of 2021, you’ll receive close consideration for an all-expenses-paid visit to campus during Williams Previews, our program for admitted students in April.
If you have any questions about the college application process, or if I can help in any way, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. I wish you all the best for a wonderful senior year and I look forward to reviewing your Williams application this winter.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Gonzalez
