@IvyLeague2 as long as you’ve completed the requirements (calc classes I assume for econ), the writing requirement and most of the GE courses, you should be good. 16 credits per semester is the pace that USC students are expected to move at, with an additional, but only recommended extra 2 credit course.
In addition, you kind of just completely discredited all EC’s above @penntousc . That could be the considerable push towards (10-20%) your acceptance.
@IvyLeague2 I didn’t mean to offend you, but I’ve actually been told directly by my USC counselor, what I said to you, about ECs. USC has a very unique transfer admissions process, and ECs don’t hold as much weight in USC’s transfer admissions as they do with other schools. However, like I said, as long as you’re good with the requirements I think you have a good chance of being accepted.
Letters are mailed 3/23 and it will be up on the portal 3/26
Psh it ain’t April Fools yet =; @geniusa1a
^ it is accurate information, it just doesn’t apply to us. Its only for first years (maaaaaybe some TTP transfers, or some lucky transfer may be included in that, but for the most part only first year admittances will get their decisions sent out on the 23rd) its like 99.9% of first years not us transfers
Oops wrong forum. Sorry and good luck.
@geniusa1a good luck to you too!!!
NOOO!!! I actually thought you were serious when you said 3/23
@cc2LAuniversity well, judging from last year’s thread, the earliest people heard back on 3/30 to the first week of April
so we’re not that far! hoping that they will release decisions starting in two weeks
@kamtea that’s for TTP
@CornellAEMplease I’m on TTP
But even for those that aren’t, late April and May are just around the corner, so hang in there!
@dreamla @Pantafootball it didn’t even look like anything important and it wasn’t even a form. It was just a letter saying “we have no record in file so consider this letter a verification of non-filing” 8-| totally not worth me stressing for 4 weeks deciding if I should request again. Lol anyway, you should be getting it in the mail soon.
Yeah, it may seem like it’s not THAT far away, but it really is though…
For TTP, people are already filling out the housing application to try and get ahead of the game. When choosing housing preferences some people are getting offered the village as a preference and some are only getting offered freshman housing. Does this mean anything? I made the GPA but I’m a little freaked out because people who got higher GPAs than I did aren’t getting offer the village as a preference, but I am. Does it indicate anything about acceptance?
@LindsayRB Wait…I thought we have to be accepted first in order to fill out housing info? how did you get access to the housing app?
I heard that the village was already full, and I’d be shocked if they were offering any spots their to transfer students, TTP or not…
@kamtea I put in my USC ID and pressed forgot password and it sent me ons, so I just filled out the application.
@LindsayRB Are you a TTP student?
@LindsayRB Yeah, that can’t be anything official from the school.
