I wonder why some applicants are able to access the housing apps? Does the online system choose at random? I’m wondering if it means anything if I don’t have access as a TTP applicant.
Question about spring grades:
I am part of TTP, and I was wondering - assuming I’m accepted before my spring grades are out - how much spring grades matter. They ask that we keep our grades in the A-/B+, so I’m wondering what would happen if I get a B or lower for my spring grades? What would have to happen for them to rescind my acceptance?
@EnduranceArtist I’m pretty sure that to be admitted, they want you to have at least a 3.6.
@kamtea For fall, yes. But for spring?
My fall GPA was a 4.0. I’m curious what would happen if my spring grades were to later lower my overall GPA below a 3.6. While it breaks the TTP agreement, it is after I’m accepted (assuming they make their decision based solely off of fall grades and let me know later March / early April). How would this work?

@EnduranceArtist I’m not sure, but I read somewhere that there is a GPA to maintain after being admitted or else they rescind you.
Is there someone here who knows for sure or has a source?
And does a majority of transfer applicants already have access to housing? I’m quite worried that I won’t get a spot on-campus
@kamtea my best advice is if you got the TTP GPA , you feel somewhat confident about getting in, and you have access to the housing application then fill it out. The worst thing possible is you lose 55 dollars, so you can kinda decide if its worth it or not based on how you feel.
@LindsayRB The problem is I don’t have access to the housing app. It won’t send me a password like it did for you and others.

People always get access to housing portal and some don’t and it usually doesn’t mean anything
@kamtea have you registered first? and I don’t think it actually means anything so I wouldn’t worry a whole lot either way

One of my classmates recently applied for a job recently just so she could have a shot at housing in the university village (apparently that’s one of the benefits of the position), so that would definitely lead me to believe that the sports available for transfers is going to be limited to non-existent. If anything though, I think transfers will have a shot at getting most of the other older on-campus housing. I remember some people in years past getting the oddest housing as an alternate to what they wanted. And of course, there was my being offered temporary housing when they couldn’t even find me one of those 
Having access to the housing portal means nothing. I had access to it before decisions came out last year and still got denied.
Does applying before being admitted do anything? What happens if they find out you did after you’re admitted?
Hey I’m a TTP applicant at a UC (on the quarter system) and just got emailed a spring grade request. They told me that they had received all of my application materials a few weeks a go and that my application was complete, but I just got an email saying that they are missing application materials, including academic transcripts from the most recent semester. Does anyone know if this means that they looked over my application already and are requesting spring grades, or if they received a transcript that for some reason didn’t have any grades on it? Bc I don’t know if this would be considered an official SGR or not
hi guys so I used to be on this thread under the username “scriavel” if anyone recognizes that, and basically after trying to post a long post with information very similar to @UCtoUSC , my comment was later deleted and my CC account literally became unusable. i still can login to the account but any attempt to try and view a thread while logged in is met with the page constantly refreshing itself indefinitely. I can, however, go on a private tab and view threads just as long as I am not logged on. Has anyone had similar situations to where their accounts became unusable ? i have already tried contacting CC but no response yet… hopefully this comment doesn’t get deleted and my account doesn’t become unusable…
@UCtoUSC but yeah I am in a very similar situation as you. Basically, I had to apply before 12/1 for my major so my application materials were for the most part all submitted by the end of January (just financial aid stuff for the most part). Therefore, I’m the same as you where my youSC portal has said that I have all applications materials in and no new messages. On the 17th, I got an email late in the night for a request for winter grades. This is because, I applied to USC with 80 quarterly credits bc long story short, where i live, we have a dual enrollment program with community colleges for juniors and seniors in high school so I was in that since fall 2014. That’s why I’m able to apply as a transfer student straight out of high school. I decided to take an extra fall quarter to finish my AA and then just recently completed an additional winter quarter to make up for any credits that likely would not transfer due to some being used towards my HS graduation requirements. But to answer your point, I think it just means that they do want to see that we’re on track and doing well academically. So although I can’t confirm for you, if we’re both receiving grade request this early maybe it’s a good sign? Does your youSC portal also display a message with a PDF that’s the same as the email you received? That’s my case too. If your yoUSC portal says they’ve received your transcripts prior to your current grades, I don’t think you have to worry about any missing transcripts. My email said that I was missing materials too but I think that’s just the default wording to tell you to submit the items ASAP.
@pianorite yeah a few weeks ago when I last checked my portal said that they had all the required documents, and now it says that they still need my full transcript, which I agree is probably just weird wording to say that they have looked at my application and want to see more grades. Yeah I’m taking it as a good thing that they’re looking at applications this early. Not sure if being on the TTP has anything to do with it or not. Does anyone know how long it may take me to get an admission decision after the spring grade request? The quarter ends soon and they should be able to see the updated transcript in like two weeks
