I’m wondering if by any chance TTP students may hear back this week?
Hey guys, just received my acceptance box today March 24. I am TTP and was super surprised it came today. I’m in California btw so I may have received mine earlier than other TTP… Good luck to rest of you all
@USCguy20 congrats!!! Have fun at USC!
ACCEPTED!! I am on TTP also! Fight on.
@USCfan1 congrats !!! What city are you in?
@USCguy20 congrats man!!! What city are you in?
how do you get on the TTP?
@USCfan1 @USCguy20 And neither of you received SGRs, correct?
Are you both first year students? At a community college or four year institution?
Wow that was quick! Congrats to you both!
What exactly is a ttp?
But congrats to everyone who got in I’m dying to know already ~X(
Hey Everyone. Im on top and just wanted to let you guys know that I was accepted into Marshall today! so excited to start a new journey. Fight On.
TTP*
How is it that so many people are being accepted without getting SGRs? I got a 4,0 first semester and an SGR instead of an acceptance, and I don’t know why.
@EnduranceArtist GPA isn’t the only thing USC looks at though
@dreamla TTP are people who got rejected as first year applicants but are given a special plan to get into USC as long as they maintain a specific GPA and they have a counselor assigned to them so they take classes that for sure transfer. Most TTP applicants (like I’ve never heard of a ttp not getting in but that’s just based on the forum) get in as long as they maintain like a 3.5 GPA
Also many TTP are legacy kids (like have direct family members who went to USC)
@mellyjune Yes, but how does getting an SGR suggest an issue other than GPA? An SGR implies that the hinging factor at this point is nothing but (spring) grades. Given I received perfect grades in courses they told me to take (through the articulation agreement), what’s the problem?
@EnduranceArtist no I’m saying that they gave you an SGR not because of your 4.0 but because maybe something about your app was not enough for them to accept you right away and they wanted more info before accepting or rejecting you.
I was saying that they look at more than just GPA when handing out SGRs or acceptances or rejections. While GPA is really important, they also look at essays, extracurriculars, letters of Rec (if you submitted them)
@mellyjune True. But - by its name - a Spring Grades Request only concerns grades. If they wanted supplemental material about extracurriculars, they would’ve asked for that instead.
