@gatsby22 I am with you too. accepted to pepperdine and lmu both on May1st for enrollment deadline. Hopefully I will hear back from usc before May 1st

@ovodrakeovo They’re in the process of sending decisions, not all of it tho. otherwise the “appeal of admission decision” wouldn’t be there.
Would be kinda dumb if they sent out decisions and there is no option of submitting your appeal if you’re rejected lol so they added that option before sending a wave of rejections/acceptances.
$750 is an expensive enrollment fee!! One of my top choices accepted me and also requires a deposit by May 1st, but it’s only $300 and since they’re essentially giving me a full-ride, it’s totally worth the risk of losing it to secure my spot.
Anyone else having trouble loading the ‘application status’ page? Mines not loading. Maybe a sign they are rolling a large number of decisions?
Does the OASIS theory still work?
If decisions are coming out on the portal then they’re probably rejections, because I’m pretty sure the acceptances that come out this early on are received by airmail before they hit the portal, but I could be wrong.
Unless they could be sending SGRs too, but it could just be something as simple as the website running slow and nothing could be coming at all
you know when you received your decision. Your portal will look way way different from the original portal when you receive your decision.
My you.usc is down as well like it was when freshman decisions were coming out

@itslife123 did you hear anything back when you called viterbi? curious how that went bc im in the same boat and my withdraw deadline is coming up! im not sure what my grade will be if i dont drop and im not sure if its better to have a W or not 8-|
@swim0220 it is better to avoid W’s when you can. Be ABSOLUTELY sure that your grade will be a C or lower before you drop. Also be ABSOLUTELY sure that there is 100% no way that you can get your grade up in the class before the end of the semester before dropping it. I know since the deadline is coming up, theres not a lot of time, but if you can meet with your professor and sort of see what kind of material is coming up. If your grade is 100% going to be worse than like a C- minus then drop it, but dropping a course should be your last possible option. Having a W is not the end of the world, but its like the plague, avoid it if you can.
Also when I say C or C- those are approximate scores… also because if you have a C+ it will be possible to get that up to the B range.

@5nonnegotiables well the portal homepage says that they are having technical difficulties right now. Of course, it could mean that things are happening behind the scenes, but I think its just a system malfunction. Maybe try going back online in a few hours.

I have a totally new page & pages updated
Forms are new in the “apply for financial aid”/ housing area
So they are obviously updating
@5nonnegotiables I was talking about a technical difficulties error message on the log-in screen.
I don’t know about your new stuff, mine looks pretty much the same, the check application status won’t load though. I don’t even have a “housing option” and I never have so I don’t know.
I mean if they’re updating, I’m all for it! I just don’t want to get my hopes up haha
Also if it is being updated, it’s probably only for some people and not all of us and mine looks pretty much the same, so mines probably not one that’s being updated… :((
