@Skepta from what I think, yes. Lack of GEs and poorly written essay.
@pomeranian4rich when they ask for SGR, they only look at grades in USC-transferable courses right? Or is it grades from all courses?
Accepted!
Congrats!
@EnduranceArtist Congrats!
@EnduranceArtist Congrats!! I’m so sorry if this was already mentioned but are you a regular applicant?
@ashurikko TTP applicant. I received a SGR last week, yet still got my acceptance box today (my counselor said this could happen).
@EnduranceArtist congrats! I had a feeling it was just a mistake that they sent you an SGR, definitely didn’t take long for them to get your decision out!
Did anyone else submit their housing application and deposit? If so what are the 5 places options everyone is selecting on the application? My sister goes there and said if you don’t apply really early there will be nothing available if and when you get in.
@EnduranceArtist Congrats! I’m very happy to see everything worked out well, as it should have!
@Skepta What math class is this.
Hi, I’m a student at a CC in the Bay Area and I’ve gotten all A’s and A-'s except for two C’s in Calculus 1A and 1B. I applied to USC as a Business Admin major and I want to go into Marketing. I was wondering if I had a chance or if my calc grades ruined it. Thanks!
@EnduranceArtist @penntousc I know that some SGR ttp applicants hear back before they even submit their SGR. Makes me wonder why… Perhaps, all ttp applicants are automatically given SGR before being reviewed in order to save time, and when ttp are actually reviewed and meet the minimal criterion they will be admitted. Just a guess.
@pomeranian4rich @EnduranceArtist I agree, it doesn’t make sense to give a TTP an SGR if they’ve held up their end of the deal for the fall semester… if that were the case, than EVERYONE would need to be given an SGR for the admissions committee to be fair.
@pomeranian4rich @EnduranceArtist unless they’re outright rejected of course
@penntousc or maybe another higher admission committee reviewed the sgr ttp applicant and thinks he or she can be admitted right now, despite the sgr. so maybe one person gives an app a sgr or admit and moves it to another person who has the authority to make the last decision perhaps.
Is anyone else’s you.usc down?
@pomeranian4rich yeah that too, I’ve always kinda wondered what’s their actual process is. I’m just holding out a little hope that decisions come earlier this year since we’re already seeing signs that they might be, including the sophomore applicant who supposedly got in already…
@dreamla mine is, I checked it like 10 min ago and it was fine
Hi, new user here! I know that USC said that they’re going to release decisions by May 31st, but does it usually take that long? Or will they come out at the end of this month? Also, where do admitted transfer students (sophomores) usually live? Thank you!!
