The wait is K I L L I N G M E
I’ve got a pretty bad feeling this wait is going to continue to kill me for another 2 months, I’m just hoping for an SGR before my semester ends so I can submit my grades as soon as they’re posted
quarter system homies, are we supposed to send our winter quarter grades or just wait till to see if we get an SGR and then send winter + spring?
@Skepta I think it depends on how many credits you have. Are you applying as an incoming sophomore or incoming junior? If you’re an incoming junior, I would suggest you send your winter grades before they request them. This may help them get your decision out faster. But if you’re a sophomore, you’re very likely (guaranteed, right?) to receive an SGR so i think it would be a waste of money to send your winter grades in that case.
@ashurikko Would you pay 500 dollars for your decision right here right now? :’)
@pianorite yea i am an incoming sophomore prob am getting an SGR as it is. Thanks lol i might as well send them all at once, they charge like $15 from my cc :/.
I really hope to god that I don’t get an SGR because if I do then i’m not going to go to USC since my backup schools are uc’s and the statement and housing is due june 1st and an SGR pushes your decision back to fucking july. This is the one thing that I hate about this usc wait is that we may not know and also housing is always first come first serve so the later the wait the worse it is.
@pantafootball2 I actually think I ran out my Cal Grant (I spent 3 full-time years at CC) and USC just seemed to add that amount to their university grant for me.
@pomeranian4rich Thank you for reminding me! I do wish there is still an SGR coming (didn’t get satisfying grades in winter ughhh)
@Skepta I believe they would send requests for winter grades for people on a quarter system (as it happened to me)
I like how this thread is super active. we’re already on page 190. Last year’s thread for the month of April started on page 50 lol
@zettasyntax so even if you transferred within the two years you think you would have payed the same amount in tuition to USC?
@zettasyntax how bad is getting a C in a non-transferrable math class? I applied with a 4.00 for fall. This winter quarter all A’s except the once C in math 42 (trig). Def getting a 4.00 spring quarter and taking Calc hopefully getting a A in that off sets the math 42 grade. If I get a SGR, is the C gonna have a severe effect? Counting the C my overall GPA would be 3.81, since it’s not transferrable my actuall USC gpa would be 3.95. (incoming sophomore).
I was wondering, I was admitted two weeks ago because I amTTP. It says at the bottom of accepted letter that if I get below a 3.5, and anything below a C, for spring semester they could rescind me. I won’t get below a C or 3.5, but if I did, do you think they would rescind me? I got a 3.95 fall semester
Constantly checking this thread until I see acceptances from non ttp roll in is literally apart of my daily routine now I wish USC saw the dedication :-SS
does usc offer transfers merit aid ?
Is it really bad that I only got a 3.4 for winter quarter? (one A- and three B+) Just realized that it would be impossible for me to get accepted seeing how an admission could be rescinded for GPA lower than 3.5… Fall GPA was 3.82 but now my overall becomes 3.6 (applying as an incoming sophomore from a 4 year university) Please help:(
@InfiniteHH98 psshhhh a 3.4? Try a 3.3 overall GPA. You’re coming from a 4-year university so I think you will be okay.
@nalabearz4 do you come from a community college?
@InfiniteHH98 admission is usually only rescinded for TTP applicants because of the requirements they have to meet as a TTP applicant, but a 3.4 will still hurt if you receive an SGR (which is likely since you’re a sophomore applicant). Some people manage to get in for spring, @awalksonman being one of them (with a 3.4 spring) but it’s rare and it’s almost guaranteed that your only chance would be spring admission.
