How holistic is USC in the admissions process? Has anyone personally had an experience/ can speak to this? Thanks!
hey guys so this spring quarter, due to limited space I couldnt get my fourth class that I listed I was going to take during spring quarter. How should I let the admissions office know, do I call them?
@skepta e-mail, so that they will have record of which class you are no longer taking.
@mellyjune do you know the admissions email address? I cant seem to find it, its just shows their mailing address and phone number.
@mellyjune haha nvm found it, they have a separate message box to email them, thanks!
@skepta also it may help to cc your regional counselor or email them directly since they are the ones who handle your stuff
@Skepta I substituted worrying with self improvement. If I get in a want to be prepared physically and mentally. It helped get things out of my mind.
@mellyjune yea that was the first thing I did, still waiting on a response.
@bugajskj yea thats the best thing you can do, im working on the physical part by getting back to the gym grind haha.
@Skepta That’s the hardest one to improve lol. 2 years ago I could bench 250 and squat 300. A bicep injury and too much in and out later I’m benching 150 and it sucks.
does taking only 3 classes look bad? Im a first year cc student and took 4 classes fall and winter quarter. But for spring im taking 3. By the end of spring I will have completed 5/8 GEs and all major reqs.
@Skepta only if you’re below 12 credits, because that would drop you to a part time student. Even if that’s the case though, it probably wouldn’t really impact you because the rest of your college career has been full time with requirements completed and mostly A’s.
@penntousc i am on the quarter system so during spring quarter itl be 14 quarter units, il have 50 quarter units by end of spring.
@penntousc oh nvm you meant 12 units for the quarter haha got it. Thanks, i didnt know about 12 creds being part time.
@Skepta 12-15 semester units is full time, and below 12 semester units is part time
@penntousc oh then for spring quarter il be considered part time.
@Skepta if you’re already done with everything you need to have done, then you’re fine. It looks good to work more or pick up an internship in the meantime though
Will completing most (if not all) of the GE categories make you a more competitive applicant?
@timdvo yeah
Wow viterbi really hears back last? RIP
