I’m so impatient! I wish we got our decisions earlier like all the other schools
If we don’t have absolutely every financial aid document handed in by the 2nd is eligibility completely eliminated? I’m having some extremely serious problems with my financial aid and I’ve tried explaining them to USC, but they don’t seem to be sympathizing at all… I’m doing everything that I can to submit everything on time, but it really comes down to my parents’ level of urgency in solving these said problems and I am currently powerless… if I don’t get aid, there’s no way I’d be able to attend if accepted, so if anyone can give me some advice I would really appreciate it, thanks!
@penntousc what exactly is going on?
Is there a thread from last year that only posts decisions (acceptances or rejections)?
Does anyone know if we have to submit the Cal Grant school change by March 2nd? I’m attending another California university right now, so I have to submit a FUTURE school change or else it affects my financial aid at my current school. But Cal Grant won’t let me submit a future school change…so I don’t know what to do. Is anyone in the same situation? Or have advice?
Anyone else buying USC apperal the second they find out if they get in … that’s the first thing I would do haha
@Pantafootball I’ve refused to buy anything college related until I find out where I’m transferring to. The second I decide where I’m going I’m going all out lol.
@jonathaanv same here ! I hate walking into a store and passing the USC section I just want to go all out too haha
@Pantafootball @jonathaanv Although I’m tempted, I’m not buying ANYTHING until I here back with acceptances from USC and the other schools I’ve applied to… I just think it wouldn’t fit right to have apparel from schools I’m not attending.
@Pantafootball I’m already wearing usc apparels lol. I feel pretty confident about this year than last year. If you don’t get in this year, there is always next year.
I checked my USC portal and they confirmed receiving my de anza college transcript around 2 weeks ago, but they still have not confirmed receiving high school transcript. I got an email confirmation saying my transcript had been shipped tho. Should I be worried or is it just delay? I sent both my de anza and high school transcript at the same time, (jan 21st.)
@cc2LAuniversity yeah my thoughts exactly.
I missed the deadline for transfer to USC for fall 2017. I am in the second semester of my first year in a university in the east coast. Major; Engineering. I believe USC does not accept applications for transfer in spring and fall 2018 is really far off. Can I still apply? Your advice will be deeply appreciated.
I know it’s a little early to talk about since most of us are months away from receiving decisions, but the USC Village is supposed to be move in ready for fall 17, so do any of you guys/girls think this would open up a lot more on campus housing for transfers? Obviously USC students/freshman would get first bid on the Village, but if I get in, I’d really want to be on campus because I just think the on campus dorm/apartment lifestyle is very beneficial when trying becoming a part of the community. Just curious to see what you all think about this!
And for anyone that hasn’t seen the news about this, here is a link for a brochure that goes into detail about the Village:
http://housing.usc.edu/index.php/publication/usc-village-information/
@penntousc I for sure would apply first thing for the village if accepted to USC. I think maybe one of the buildings will be left for transfers to have and the rest will quickly be filled up with returning students and freshman.
@jonathaanv that’s what I’m thinking, since the Village can house 2500 students and USC only accepts (usually) around 1500 transfers, give or take a few hundred
I meant that 1500 ish is the usual transfer class size, they accept around 2000
@swatiraj unfortunately, spring admission is only offered to the applicants who applied for regular admission before February 1. Usc doesn’t offer applications for specifically spring. You’ll have to wait for fall 2018 admission apps
Sadly, the USC village is completely full. Even current students couldn’t even get a spot at the Village. Housing for transfers is designated in other buildings and they should give you housing info once you get accepted.
