2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@jonathaanv I ONLY sent my official transcripts through the mail and I never sent my unofficial transcripts through the portal. Am I supposed to do both?

I am unsure how to even upload my unofficial transcripts through the portal as I don’t know how to gain access to a PDF version of my transcripts. Am I just supposed to screenshot my “unofficial grades” in MySite for Irvine Valley College?

Thanks.

@usctransferivc I don’t know for sure if you need both but I’d go ahead and try uploading your transcript. Go to whatever portal you use at your current school and just save your overall transcript as either a PDF, jpeg, or other file. I’d even PrtScreen it if you can.

I uploaded both and I got no additional documents needed on my portal

Edit: you can also go to your schools office and request an unofficial transcript for free and scan and upload it using a printer. That’s what I did.

State schools are finally out of the way for me so I can now focus/stress about USC and other UC’s I applied to.

Let’s goooooooo!

@jmbgeog sdsu should be out. I received my decision like a month ago. I didn’t some of their prereqs and still got in lol.

@pomeranian4rich for business admin?

@Pantafootball yup

Does anyone know how we will receive our admission statement on youSC?

Anyone know how much it’d hurt to go from a 4.0 in the fall to a 3.7 in the spring? Should have higher than a 3.7 since my CC doesn’t have A-'s, but it’s because I’ve got one of those professors that likes to take off points on assignments for things that she didn’t even ask for/specify, so I could end up with a B-B+ in that class… it’s for nutrition, which I recently found out will transfer but only as an elective. I’m not too worried since I got the A in calc and I’ll have the A in writing, but I just wanna know what you guys think about that!

@penntousc one person I knew had a 4.0 fall and 3.6 spring and got admitted for spring. He completed two more GEs than I did. Was lowkey jealous but doesn’t matter now lol

I had 3.8 fall 4.0 spring

@pomeranian4rich @penntousc I guess that shows the importance of GEs, I’m pretty sure if it’s just an elective nutrition class they won’t care unless you completely bombed it. They should just be very critical about the math requirement, English, GEs.(for business of course) when the Marshall admissions councilor spoke at the transfer event. He was very firm about As or Bs in English and calculus.

@Pantafootball @pomeranian4rich I’m low key hoping if I get accepted that by some grace of God USC would knock off my life sciences GE since I’ve completed two lab-less life science courses in Basic Human Anatomy and Nutrition, but I know it’s not likely lol. I really do hope that’s true though that the most important things are writing and calc because I’ve got those checked off with A’s, I just wish I would have been able to visit and hear it for myself. Planned on going next week but I’d have to sell a kidney to fly out to LA and stay in a hotel for a few days while I visit!

Just to take a quick suvery, how many people on this thread are Marshall applicants? I joined this late so I came after the stats/chance-me/introduction phase.

@jonathaanv I am

I am as well

I forgot to mention that I’m a Marshall applicant before asking ha

Me three

ayyeeee #squaaaad @Pantafootball @penntousc @enpz45

@Pantafootball are you a junior applicant or sophomore? don’t remember from before, just curious…

@jonathaanv get used to this group of applicants (if you’re a sophomore applicant or have shaky chances) because believe me, we are here for the long haul lol

@penntousc I’m a junior transfer and for sure man hopefully we all get in! I know for some USC is their #1. If Haas doesn’t workout for me best believe we’ll all see each other at Marshall.

@jonathaanv well at least you’ll be hoping to get an answer before the deadline to deposit! Huge plus right there, and yeah most definitely. I was interested in the UC’s too (UCLA and Berkeley) until I saw the type of financial aid they give (more like don’t give) to OOS students, so I’m banking on USC lol. Good luck!
