Today, the Diversity Life Weekend applicants received their acceptance and invitation, however they still have to wait until the end of March for their official acceptance letter and financial aid package.

Still says March on out portal.

The Diversity Life Weekend letter came in the mail. I live in the area, so I probably received the letter before people who live farther away. The letter is postmarked March 13, 2013 for me, and I received it today.

How many people receive diversity life weekend letters?

I think around 100 people go to the Diversity Life Weekend, so I’m estimating around 200 people received the letter.

higuise, do you mind sharing your stats? :)

No, not at all.
Major: Chemical Engineering
ACT: 29 C 29 R 28 E 26 M 32 S
GPA: 4.0 UW
Rank: Top 10%
APs: 9
I’m Asian, so I’m not sure if that is Under-Represented Minority or Over-Represented Minority (but it might play a role in the Diversity Life Weekend invitation, and I wrote my short answer and one of the supplemental essays about Diversity & Inclusion).
Uhm…I think that’s everything, if you’d like to know more, please tell me.

I also got the letter. Not sure if I am going yet. Congrats Higuise! Maybe I will see you there.

I’m coming late to this conversation. What is diversity life weekend? My daughter attended the diversity achievers program before she apllied. Is this something similar?

Thanks higuise!
& Congrats higuise & purpledrops for getting invited to the Diversity Life Weekend.
Do you guys by chance live near the East Coast?

So I got a letter in the mail today saying “Congratulations! On behalf of the committee on Admissions, We are excited to offer you a place in the class of 2017. Over 12,500 students applied for the first year class, and we believe that you will contribute to the energy and vitality of our community. We are sending this letter to you in advance of other candidates in order to invite you to visit lehigh university during diversity life weekend.”
it goes on to explain the program and stuff. but does the mean I definitely got in?

We are definitely in. I got likely letters from other colleges but this letter actually says we have been accepted which is so exciting.
Sleepypanda, I live an hour from Lehigh.

Hey, to the people getting Diversity Life Weekend letters, is all of your financial aid info in? A couple of days ago I got an incomplete financial aid notice. Because of this, is there a possibility that I got into Lehigh but I won’t get an invitation to DLW? And does every admitted student get an invitation? Just kind of nervous/excited and want to know ASAP! Thanks.

Only my FAFSA and CSS are in so I dont have all my aid in and I still got the letter

What exactly does it mean to get invited to this diversity thing?

Being invited means getting accepted, but not being invited definitely doesn’t mean not being accepted… As far as I understand…

Yeah what is this weekend thing? What is it about?

Has anyone from the West Coast received an invitation yet?

trying to stay hopeful

I am from Idaho and received my invitation today!

@sleepypanda
