Ahhh i have yet to receive an email. I guess i’m getting a denial email later on. Ha…

@kassh4
What was the email address? wow@williams.edu?

yea WOW@williams.edu

oh looks like a lot of people haven’t got an email yet. I wouldn’t stress about it.

@YoLolololol yes. i think im gonna do october dates.

@kassh4

Alright. Thanks. I’m assuming you know other applicants?
What region do you guys live in? @MaybeHarvard2022

Mid west.

@MaybeHarvard2022 I think I am going to pick the September date, but I have to talk to my parents tonight. I didnt even tell them I applied, and sometimes they are super protective.

Got denied with phone call and fee waiver. EXTREMELY disappointed. Williams was my top choice school and was seriously considering Early Decision if I had the opportunity to visit, but I suppose I will look at somewhere else now. Don’t feel like risking ED on a school I can’t visit lol.

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted!

I thought I had a great chance with a 1550 SAT, 30k income for a family of 5 (yeah we’re very poor.), 4s and 5s on 9 APs, and 3.98 GPA. I thought my essay was good, too.

Sigh. On to other flyins!

Denied, but congratz to everyone accepted.

Honestly, do I even have a chance of admission then?
Thought I would get in tbh :confused: sigh, I wonder what hindered me.

@YoLolololol
I got denied too! And I was invited to apply and all that jazzzz.
But I’m not all that amazing so I wasn’t surprised. 1280 SAT, 4’s on 2 APs, 3.97 gpa UW.
And I’m from VA so location is probably a big factor as well as income. It wouldn’t be much of a fly in if I could drive there right?
I’m also a URM with 30k income for 6 people and parents who only finished 3rd grade.
So I think my scores and location were the biggest factor.
At least we got the feedback option…? Idk if they give that to everyone as consolation lol.

I have to wait until August 17 decisions as I am missing items in my application. Not sure what so I will call them tomorrow. Feeling blessed to still be in consideration.

"Dear ####,

Thank you for your interest in the Windows on Williams (WOW) program. I am writing to inform you that we are still missing important pieces of your WOW application. Please ensure that you have submitted all necessary components of your WOW application as soon as possible. You’ll receive an email notifying you of your WOW decision by August 17."

@Volunteerism
That’s REALLY weird.
I got something similar but it was 3 days ago and they were able to squeeze in my rejection in time…

Congrats to all those who got accepted! Hopefully, I will see y’all there during WoW(dunno how competitive it will be to be a WoW counselor.)

To those who are deciding between the September/October date, personally I would suggest September. Here are some of the pros and cons:

September: Earlier during the school year so. if you missed a few days, you will have an easier time catching up schoolwork. The students at Williams will still have fresh memory of the transition between HS and college and can give you better advice/recommendations regarding the application process/experience/anything else related to college. The students at Williams will also be less busy with the upcoming mid-term. September visit will also allow you to see the career fair at Williams. You get to see what companies are hiring on-campus and you might even get some loots( I got a pretty nice stainless steel water bottle and some other stuff from these companies.)

October: Not as good because the students will be busier, schoolwork is getting harder which mean more time spent to catch up, lot of other fly-ins occurring during this month so there might be some overlapping. One good thing about the October date, though, is that it might occur on Mountain Day(one of first three October Fridays) and you get a taste of a tradition at Williams. This has a downside which is that all classes will be cancelled and you will not be able to sit-in a class.(If it indeed occur on Mountain Day, I am pretty sure Williams will create a few classes(like what Tufts did for my fly-in) just for fly-in students to get a taste of classroom experience at Williams.

P.S: Please post your stats and your decision so the future classes can see them.
