2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

Sorry, @lovetoast05. What does the SGR look like? If you don’t mind me asking.

@K1w1B1rd not letting me link to a pic of it, but when I went to Check Application Status, it says USC Application Spring Grade Requested

I just checked my portal - nothing. I don’t want to wait until the end May to hear back from Dornsife either.

Accepted my backup offer and paid housing deposit. My folks are OK with forfeiting that if SC accepts me.

@lovetoast05 Oh wow okay! I ended up sending my transcript again too. So hopefully I’ll hear something soon!

Do they review applications on the weekends as well?

Okay I really don’t want to be that person, but I’m very curious. For those of you who got the SGR already, do you have the program of study eligibility check tab on your Financial Aid?

@sunnydramatic 8-> You asked, not me. (I was wondering the same don’t worry lol)

@sunnydramatic what is that? Under eligibility checks for my financial aid I have a citizenship check and a satisfactory academic progress check. What does that mean? I’m sure I got a SGR because I’m currently taking calculus 1 which is a requirement for Marshall.

@dexterjettser Really sorry to hear that… I remember you said you applied to Thornton. I did too and Im pretty worried bc I wanna go really badly… would you mind telling me what your GPA is? I feel like my 3.49 is gonna ruin me

@jobsoutofcollege if its any comfort, im in the same boat as you ( i did have this weird transcript thing happen a while back, i posted it a couple of pages ago), and i also applied to price, so we’ll see man, price is like the one school that dosen’t have very much info/stats, so hopefully it goes well for the both of us.

Just wanted to put this out there for those who don’t know — they guarantee that your application will be reviewed by the end of May, but those who receive an SGR may end up waiting until the beginning of July, although most hear back in June or at the very end of May if lucky.

@lovetoast05 We’re not really sure what it means, but under Eligibility Checks, along with the other options you listed, some people have a “Program of Study” tab that says that our program of study’s been confirmed. So we were wondering if it’s related to our application in any way

I just got my SGR today I am Marshall applicant non TTP, no legacy

hi guys i have the program of study under my financial aid but i don’t think it means anything bc it has been there for a while and last week i got an email saying i was missing my high school transcript (apparently my high school sent in my transcript with just the classes but not my grades) so i don’t think it’s an indication of acceptance bc i have missing documents

What classes are you taking this semester? Is your math or English requirement in progress? And how many units have you completed? @clan123

@bantisz Yup, I would be either a junior or a second semester Sophomore if accepted

@markspencer22 I actually have a 3.4 and am applying to Dornsife as a chemistry major and to Price as a public policy major. My GPA isn’t as strong as I would like because I didn’t do as well as my first semester freshman year. Did you explain why you had a 3.49? Also, there are other factors as well especially since you’re applying to the music school.

Have any Dornsife applicants heard anything?

@MBlue98 Didn’t really explain the GPA… I was hoping that my fall semester grades would speak for themselves since I got straight A’s

Improvement at that level will always speak for itself, best of luck
