2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

just submitted my application, good luck to everybody this year!

@anotherday9 Agree with @zettasyntax. It will be easier where you are. My CS freshman started in Math 226 at USC. You will have those math whiz types in 225 as well messing up the curve.

But the biggest thing I want to point out is for you to read the first sentence of your post. “Viterbi recommends… “ they are straight up telling you what to take to get in so I recommend following that for your best chance.

Can someone provide some last minute essay feedback before I submit?

@aznboi4981 I’ll help you bro, DM me the essays.

Do I need to send AP score report if I have a few? I didn’t see it on the checklist.
Hope everyone is doing good with the application good luck!!

I am a business major at my current institution. For USC, I need Calc as a pre-req in order to get into Marshall. If I plan on taking it over the summer at a community college, where is a good place to tell them this? :stuck_out_tongue:

just submitted my application. Good luck everyone we all will hear back within 5 months

Is the app due tonight or tomorrow by 11:59?

@aznboi4981 i believe its due tomorrow by 11:59

@aznboi4981 theres a spot on the application where it says if you want to say anything that you havent had the chance to say in your application. its all the way at the end of your application its a small type in box with a 650 word limit

guys i started a thread for when we get our decisions. everyone would just post major, school applied to, gpa, decision etc so it would be easier for upcoming transfer students to see the stats and decisions instead of having to go through like 14 pages or so of a thread where we just asked each other questions so im going to post a link and lets just bookmark it and when we get our decisions lets just post here if we want but in that thread as well

heres the link

@clarien - there should have been a place to report AP scores on app right? For now that is good enough, don’t have to send official until after admitted if you want the credit.

Hey guys! Might as well introduce myself since all of us will be in this together for the next 4 months.

Applying to: USC Marshall
1st Major: Business Administration, 2nd major: Accounting
I’m transferring from UCLA (lol) as a Business Economics Major.
I’m currently a sophomore applying as a junior transfer.

UCLA GPA: 3.84 - Dean’s Honors List, College Honors
SAT: 2210
Ethnicity: Asian Male
Extracurriculars are good - nothing extraordinary

My high school self would say “Chance Me”, but at this point, it’s a crapshoot.

Good luck to everyone here!

haha man. whats wrong with UCLA? no business school?

By the way, i wish every single person best of luck! Let the dream come true!

Hey everyone! I’m applying as a sophomore transfer, from a 4-year univ. into Annenberg for Communication  Wishing you all good luck

@bantisz for the most part yea

@CADREAMIN

Got it, thank you!

Hey guys! I am applying to Dornslife and am coming from the University of Utah. Do you think my chances are better coming from a 4yr state university in the PAC12?

read several posts that mentioned an “additional info” section in the app? where is this exactly??

hi guys, it’s my first time applying – i will be a junior transfer

just a quick question! I made a you usc account before submitting the common app ( i was very excited), and it was finally updated today at 5:30 ish. I submitted my common app and the writing supplement yesterday at around 9:30 pm. when i checked on you usc, it said that they received my common app, but not my writing supplement… did this happen to anyone??
