2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@rrtyu12 WOW! Congratulations! That’s JUST what I’m yearning for (granting I am accepted!)

Guys, my question might be weird but just wanna make sure. So, our application is not only read by our admission counselor but admission committee, right?

@inception97 I could be wrong but I think it might only go to committee if your counselor likes you

Can anybody tell me what should i do now?
I am an international student currently studying in an U.S. 4-years university, and its main language is English.
I did not submit any English test scores, Toefl or Ielts, and they are asking me to submit.
I didn’t take them because i was stupid enough to think that my records in the current university will waive the requirement.
Now i already booked a test but the result will come out on June 1st.
I wrote a letter to ask them if they can wait for the result, and they haven’t replied.
This is my own fault, i really screwed up myself.
I heard there’s a ISE in USC, and the website says “For those who do not demonstrate English proficiency, however, USC requires the International Student Exam (ISE) prior to registration for classes.”

I am wondering if i can take that?

This is probably more of a question for a counselor, you should get in contact with yours ASAP.

@ghostwithin
There’s nothing you can do at this point, besides taking the earliest possible TOEFL/IELTS exam and sending the score to USC. USC will determine whether they’ll still admit you and let you take the ISE.

Guys are we expecting our 1st big wave this Friday?

There are many conflicting posts on this so can we just clarify this once and for all. Does the USC package get shipped to the temporary address you put in the common app (aka your dorm at your school if you don’t live at home) or the permanent address (your actual home)? Does anybody who lives on an actual campus know the answer to this?

@anontransf Your actual home. I live on a campus. I haven’t received any decision yet but Viterbi sent a letter confirming my application to my actual home.

Another guy/gal that got in really early and attends ASU got the package at their home. They wouldn’t be able to use USPS informed delivery otherwise.

Hello!
I have been following this thread since July and this upcoming academic year is my second try for my dream school, USC. I have been a little nervous to post on here especially with the decisions approaching quickly. Here are my stats, please let me know what chances i may have of getting in based off of your experiences.

College: 4-Year public University outside CA
Freshman applying for sophomore year
Credits: 30 (including ones in progress)
GPA: 3.96
Major: IR (my college only has global studies)
2nd choice: Global Studies
Common App: Much better than freshman, upward trend
EC: nationally ranked athlete, worked 2 jobs, went on goodwill mission to Peru, taught underprivileged children
*I took both my MAT (brief calculus) and ENG (Honors) in the fall of my freshman year, also currently in progress with foreign language requirement.

High School:
GPA: 3.8
Honors, AP courses
SAT: 1270 (my fault as I did not prepare enough for the test)
EC: nationally ranked athlete, NHS, student teacher
*The rest doesn’t matter, as I had applied as a freshman as well.

Thanks for responding and i wish everyone the best of luck with decisions!

@sunnydramatic Just out of curiosity, when’s the last time you checked informed delivery? Do you know if it updated rcently?

@csumit Just a tip… I think there’s a way you can sign up for email notifications, so they email you as soon as there is a new package on the way to your address!

@aznboi4981 I’m from Virginia

@csumit I just randomly checked it through the app at around 1:00am while studying for my final. It says it was scanned at the facility around 8:30pm
